No Defenders!

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY FOOKING WHY are we buying striker, midfielder midfielder but no defence. after poor defending has cost us goals, players injured and no pace at the back, shouldnt be buying someone to bolt the back up with morgan and geary.

To be fair, before the season started everyone wanted a creative midfielder. Everybody was happy with the defence. We had, on paper a good defence with plenty of cover.

To be honest i think we will miss Claude "the wall" Davies or maybe not so much for his lack of fitness and sometimes appauling decisions but for the fact of height and muscle at the back - we are really missing that type of player to hold the line - maybe we should recruit an egg-catcher to just stand there and do the business

Did you watch Liverpool destroy Derby on MOTD? Davis was rubbish. We won't miss him, we've just not replaced him adequately.

Very true - i watched the highlights - and he looked pretty poor - thought he was better than that - but i always think every club needs a big "wall" type of player at the back

I was never sold on Davis. Just look at the promotion season DVD. He's at fault for every single goal we scored against Preston. Good luck to him, but I reckon it was good business.

I just wish the defence would bloody talk to each other. There's sweet ferk all communication between them, except when they're arguing.

I totally agree with you! against watford and WBA there was no communication at the back at all part from arguing. I thought davis did ok for us but we did business selling him on, i think we need another centre half to put a bit of pressure on morgan lucky and killa and make them wake up a tad!
