No Baxter, No Collins, No McCuntly......No Problem.

Just 4 left today from the opening day Gillingham capitulation: two of them kids (if George still counts as a kid & Adams does after his growth spurt?), two reliable oldies (Sharp & McEveley).

And Pompey lost 3-0 at home, with McNumpty getting hauled off for a 19 year old in the second half :D

That cunt Collins got a nosebleed if he ventured towards halfway - batiste is an improvement - in turn manoeuvres like getting rid of a useless bastard and replacing with someone better the team will gradually improve.

Another 8-10 more wankers out in summer replaced with better players and we will see better results.

By the way did we miss the Scottish twat today ?

Baptiste will be a far more positive influence on the rest of the defence than Collins. On top of being a better defender.

There's a fundamental truth that good players enable team mates to play better. Especially in defence.

Killa simply couldn't perform without Morgan beside him. HMS Shipps had a game which wasn't about glory but brought an entire attacking unit together.

The replacement of a few players with the right men could well see some players flourish. I want to see Reed getting his head up and playing those exocet passes. I want to see Brayford bombing on without fear. Sharp working in the box rather than running wide.

Hope Adkins can do the chemistry.

As I've been saying all season, it's the culture of the squad which has to change. The removal of these malignant elements has visibly changed the complexion.
It's far from a long-term remedy, but a great first step.

We've had no Baxter "holding us back" for a while. Collins has only played odd games in recent weeks. McNulty has been gone months as has Doyle who got loads of stick for years. We've no Howard yesterday, no McEveley until late in the game and who was the but of derision for months until recently. There were no kids in the line-up yesterday.

So yesterday all the fans' whipping boys weren't there and yet the first half is one of the biggest shambles and embarrassments yet. 1-0 was a travesty for Millwall.

A full 11 of fans' whipping boys could probably do a lot better if they were given the opportunity to play their own game.

Because there's not really such thing as a whipping boy, just a poor player. And we're still stacked with them.

Roll on summer, and fuck everything off with a pulse.

There are no "scapegoats" in this team, that term is a fallacy, there are just garbage players, whether by ability or application. The above mentioned were simply the worst offenders.
Their attitude wasn't the issue yesterday because some of the disruptive elements are longer here. Most of those left just aren't good enough to be playing league football.

I'll be happy whoever leaves next, I want as many possible gone.

Well a good number of them were brought in by the current manager so do we trust him to be in charge of the overhaul of the squad ?
