No approach made for O'driscoll!

They don't look like they're dithering at all, they look like for once they are making an informed decision on the future of the club, for once they seem to be doing it right, rather than jumping the gun.

Yesterday he said we hadn't made an approach, today he's changed his tune, he's making himself look like a petulant child, with all the press releases he keeps making, Ryan should stay stum on the matter now. All he had to say was:

'S'OD is free to talk to SUFC if he wishes to, but I'll be doing my best to keep him here, as I think he has an excellent future at DRFC. If he does so choose to leave for SUFC, then SUFC will have to pay the right ammount of Compensation.'

End of, not none of this tittle tackle everyday he keeps coming out with.

Agreed.

Len in "I back every other club but United" shocker wont make the headlines, that's for sure....:)

Taking your time should not mean in excess of a month, it should not involve making yourself hostage to a stupid statement about the New Year when that takes you into a transfer window and when you're due to play the manager you're apparently interested in hiring.

We might already know the new manager, who might want to step back and see what he has to play with without disrupting the players over a busy xmas period. The win on Saturday shows that we can win. Don't get me wrong, I would like S'OD now but maybe the club and S'OD himself want to play it another way. Time will tell.

I am not as concerned by how long it takes as I was last week. The Swansea game gave me hope

Wasn't the statement before christmas?? If thats the case they could possibly announce it next week. After the players get this game and the tuesday night fixture out of the way. Not distracting the players away from getting on with their job over those couple of days, if thats the case then thats a very good idea.

I thought they'd said "Not before Xmas" as well but as ever nothing is straight forward with United. They actually said "Not before Xmas" AND "Carver will remain in charge until early in the New Year".

If there is any convincing needed, Donny has sold less than 500 tickets for their trip to Derby on Boxing Day. Biggest attendance day of the season; team on "verge" of play-offs etc etc.......

John Ryans bought 400 of those. 2 for his friends 10 for his family and 388 for his ego.

In excess of a month? That's a very poor exaggeration by your standards len. You've already turned 10 days into three weeks and technically, ten days can be three different weeks, depending on the start date, which is presumably how you got to three weeeks.

So, could you please re-state "in excess of a month" and call it "two months", being December and January.

Thanks
