This country is fucking tapped

It's because the driving force behind it is all money. They come down hard on anyone evading tax in any way, whether than be dealing, pirating and all the rest of it.

People getting years for selling a bit of weed - which literally grows out the ground - and then you see this. The criminal justice system is a joke and a disgrace to our country.

I'm talking more about tax evasion by people that sell things like weed. I don't believe they seriously think weed causes significant damage to the community as a standalone thing, certainly no more so than alcohol. Weed is also something legal in many countries but for some backwards reason they decide to make it illegal here meaning money is then spent policing it, when they could legalize it, tax it and sell it, therefore bringing money into the economy.
