Next seasons surprise package?

Southampton are the ones to watch for me, Leeds will stay up comfortably in Mid table I can see West Brom struggling and Fulham too, unfortunately I think we’ll have a scrap next season but we’ll still stay up I’m going for 12th for us.

Blades top ten again. Just to surprise those pundits who were mostly convinced we would not survive long enough for the mythical second season syndrome.

West Brom and Villa to go down.

Think both Brighton and Southampton showed in their performances that they weren’t far away from having a good side.
I expect both to easily stay away from relegation.

I expect Crystal Palace to be the surprise package regards relegation.
Might be controversial but im open minded regards Leeds too......I wouldn’t be surprised if they finish 10th but I also wouldn't be surprised if they struggle.

The PL and Championship have a very different playing style....always think it’s really difficult to predict what the relegated and promoted teams will do.
An example is Norwich City kept virtually the same team that won the league.....they started the season continuing to play their expansive/ nice football but they were too light weight and really struggled at PL level hardly winning a game in the 2nd half.

Not for top 6, but West Brom

Think they'll be quite good, have some good players and a motivational manager and they play a good style of football when they're at it, if they can fill some of the loan gaps and add a few players they'll do well.

Leeds seem to having as much trouble signing players as we do, read about 3 or 4 of their targets signing for other clubs, and Brighton are holding on to Ben White it seems.
Can't see it. They were poor in the games I saw... Had one decent player... No real energy tempo or philosophy that I could discern. If they stay up they will have over performed.

Southampton are a good side. For me they tick most of the boxes. The big question surrounds ings and Adams. Can they get another shed load from ings and can Adams push on.... If they do I fancy them to really get in and amongst it at the top end.

Looking at the current betting odds, Blades are currently 10/3 for relegation & Leeds 7/2. I don’t understand why.

Bielsa is notoriously stubborn in his approach to setting up a side. The way Leeds play - high intensity & high press but also possession based & reliant on creating lots of chances - will (IMO) struggle this season. Unless you’re Liverpool or Man City, you simply don’t create many goal scoring opportunities & you won’t get as much of the ball as you’d like.

Almost every ‘successful’ promoted side have maintained their top tier status primarily on their defensive capabilities (us being the latest success story). I think they will struggle and are more likely to ‘do a Norwich’ than ‘do a Sheffield United’

Leeds will do well, top half for them I'd say, top 12 minimum.

They'll do well, but not quite as well as one of my colleagues thinks they will. He thinks top 6, this is going to be the easiest fiver I'll ever win

Certainly not top six 😂 but wouldn't be suprised to see them do what we did, although the lack of a full Elland Road may hurt them if they're taking hits.

If he'd said top ten I wouldn't have taken the bet because I think they are capable of that. He's pretty sound, and usually one of the most rational people I know, but top six is a massive leap of faith.

Need fans back ASAP, full Bramall Lane could've earned us a few extra points down the stretch IMO.
