Whoever it is, I hope they are given a decent chance...
Despite "anyone" being "better" than Warnock/Robson, so far from phoneins/internet speak we've had (the only comments which are mine are enclosed in [ ]

Ex-England manager Mclaren with a decent pedigree at Boro isn't good enough.
Pearson couldn't possibly come in, however good a coach he is because "he used to be a pig" and it would cause "mayhem" on the Kop.
Blackwell is a liar, a traitor and a lower league manager.
Allardyce is well recieved most places, yet his style of football is generally hated by many. [he isn't anywhere near likely to come in, as he usually has a massive team with him, bags of money and considers himself worthy of only "massive" clubs these days] .
Whatever the restructuring, its going to take time, especially given our current state, I just hope whatever happens, they are given the chance before we turn into another in a long line of sacking clubs.

My opinions on the managers selected as possible targets
Chris Coleman - no fulham were very poor
Sam Alladyce - possible but very direct
Steve McClaren- No way England anyone?
Paul Ince - I would give the guv'nor the opportunity- saved maccelsfield, doing well at MK dons
Aidy Boothroyd - cant see him leaving a team at the top
Nigel Pearson -no maybe a number two
Gary Speed - not enough experince yet, coach first

He's by no means a permanent choice though... SSN are reporting he's been given the job until the end of the season.

I really don't rate Billy Davies. He got an average Derby side promoted from a poor division, and then what did he do against Premiership opposition? One home win, which was against Newcastle and so don't really count. He's suited to lower ambitions than ours.
