Too early for Malky, I suspect. That's who I would like if the Cardiff position becomes untenable for him.

Will have to be someone with experience I guess - otherwise we will be on our way down. So that narrows the options a lot.

Pullis is an obvious choice if we are talking people out of a job at the moment that can arrest a slide of this proportion and get a squad a) motivated and b) to be hard to beat and then go on to get some results - but that smacks of a return to kick and rush as his Stoke team was the land of the giants when he got them up to the prem - he will have to manage the village of the pygmies in a different way if he is to have any success with our lads.

If they are looking to keep the football philosophy going then I think they will opt for Clough - but I am not sure if he can be a real success. He is not very inspirational - not sure how he can coax the max out of a squad of cocky young lads - he doesn't have his fathers charisma or acumen.

They can always poach - but who would drop down here in the situation we are in?
I suspect the only ones that may make a switch, if asked, would be the likes of Wilder and Slade but that's the Blades connection all over again.

It's a bag of worms again. Same owd

A proper man is needed.
Mccall can frig off-he had his chance.
It`ll be clough or sven.;)

Please not Sven or Clough.

Martin O'Neill or Robbie Di Matteo for me. I wouldn't mind Ron Atkinson or Kevin Keegan.

Roy Keane? Motivation plus likes to play football the right way plus the rumours the other week. Not for me, but ...

I can't see it. We don't have time for someone to come in and do a Micky Adams. We need a man who will come in and be able to work with what we have got and add to it. Keane would be another Adams for me.

I think Adams the 2nd time round would be better than the 1st. No way would he do half the things he did then, now. just for the record i don't want micky adams

The more i mull it over, its gonna be pulis or clough.o_O
Hope it's Pullis and a return to direct football the only way to get out of this league.

Goodbye to tip tap passing debacle we have had to stomach.
Attacking full backs, at least one winger, playmaker in the middle, and a bullying forward to partner King
Happy Days

Now if it's Monday, is it more likely that the new man is in a current job? the agreement is to allow him to play this weekend out.

Rodders post possibly nicked from Dave78's post on BM

"Hearing the new Manager could be announced as early as Monday. The board have targeted one man. Don't think the press were far off
