Imagine if this were blades vs city... what do you think score would be. Im praying wilder brings prem players in not shitty championship ones

Exacly what i meant when i started this thread. Any one watching the man united vs city game? Notice the difference in quality, blades are gona have to get quality in its no joke in this league. Johan jourou. Garry cahill. Artur burock. Obafemi martins. Ibrahim affelay. Chris samba. Younis kaboul. Denilson. Nasri. All these players are available on free transfers and theres loads more. I hope wilder really knows what hes doing we are about to find out.
You do know City have spent over £1billion don't you.?
The good news is that Chris will do the exact opposite to what you're suggesting.

They're all on free transfers because they're either too old, too knackered, too expensive, or just plain shite. We don't have the budget to sign them, and even if we did, blowing it on a bunch of ancient journeymen should be the last thing we try to do. That list has a hideous lack of quality, some of those players were never that good in their prime. Samba and Kaboul would be destroyed by Man City. Like you say we need quality, not that shower of shit you've suggested.

I think some of those players are decent... denilson... nasri...cahill...martins...its either that or go straight down... btw this prince guy that owns half the club... how much dollar has he got?

Adam Webster from Bristol city would be a good shout.

People might not like it but we have to sign these players whilst we would have the money and the status. Wilder likes to sign “player of the year” calibre players. Players we couldn’t afford in the championship. If we come back down, so be it but we need to make sure we take advantage of being able to attract these players.

...................so............that's how a football agent works - thanks for the insight.

UTB

Oh and use this extra money to sign younger players. Build for the future instead of the immediate.

100% agree.

How old are you ? Have you done your homework for school ?

Most of the players you have suggested are too old or are not good enough anymore, they maybe free
but the wages they will want would not be good business. You are suggesting we go go down the Pig route old players on very large wages. Are you a Pig by any chance
This Prince guy is not that loaded

I can't work out if this is a parody account or just a youngster. This is the type of signings you'd make on football manager not real life. I hope we stay away from these journeyman personally.

Cahill would be alright mind.

Obafemi Martins is 34 and hasn't played at a decent level since 2013. Denison went back to Brazil in 2011 and Kaboul has been shite since he was at Sunderland 3 years ago. Artur Boruc is 39 years old. (All are way past their best.)

Chris Samba and Ibrahim Affelay have famously bad attitudes.

On the subject of Samba, him Cahill and Nasri would all expect astronomical wages. Unless you're paying, forget about them.

Other than that, great suggestions.

I think we'll go down the route of signing good championship players like how we signed good league 1 players when we reached the championship. A few names I'd consider are:

Callum Robinson
Oliver mcburnie
Ben Davies
Sean Maguire
Luke Freeman
Ebereche Eze
Jackson Irvine
Fraser Campbell
Barry Bannan
Dominic Iorfa
Ryan Woods
Sam Vokes
Tyler Roberts
Jack Clark
Lloyd Kelly
Luca connell
Che Adams
Ollie watkiWa
Marcelo Jota
Jonathan kodjia

Loads more out there that could improve our squad too.

I deffo reckon we should be in for players like Lolley at forest Watkins freeman and Robinson

Look at how good James Maddison has been

Would like to see us spend 10 million on a few players like that , they would be more investments as there all young if we do end up going down.

If that’s a list of signings for the Championship then it’s a good one. From that lot I can only say two might (might) be able to step up to the Premier League if we get there and I’m surmising from your opening paragraph that you’re suggesting these players for the next level.

If we do go up we will have to set our sights so much higher.

I think they are all players who could improve our squad. Realistically they are probably the ceiling of what we'll be able to afford. Whether they'll be good enough to jeek us in the prem remains to be seen but they are the type of players tgat if we went back down, would give us a great chance of bouncing straight back. I don't think we can or will aim numu higher because it would be gambling the clubs futifu and wilder has been very clear that he won't do that.

All that said, I'd also like to nab Mooy and grant from Huddersfield.

Samba would have no chance of getting in our team. He is dreadful

Doubt you'd get Watkins or Lolley for £10m - probabaly more like £20m

Aaron Mooy should be available now Huddersfield are down, lowish fee, affordable wages.

If Brighton go down they have some good players Dunk, Duffy, Gross, Murray. The two CB’s may have interest from bigger clubs though.

Tom Cairney from Fulham, was valued highly last year but after this season surely his stock has dropped... may still be out of reach though.

I'd take a few names on that list for sure. I think we need 5 players (minimum) to stay up and top Championship players fit our model nicely. Considering we'll get £100m in revenue next season I think £30m could be a reasonable budget to aim for...acknowledge a lot of our players will have promotion uplifts in their contract and we'll have to be careful about how much we commit up front in fees...

Ashley Young, I think he will be surplus at Manc Poo next season, I know he's 34, but that should allow him to come on loan.
Not sure how he would adapt to a wing back role, but be a bit of experience in the club.

I’m not saying he’s gonna start, but I think he could do similar to what Che Adams did in certain games when he first came to United, bit of pace good finisher might catch a few out and yes still very young in terms of experience..

Be perfect for the cups, which should be squad player games (again with caution) next season, priorities should be staying up..

He hasn’t even played for league one Donny why would we play him
