Maybe 3 teams worse than United, Peterboro, Barnsley, Hull, Derby maybe even Brizzle
 
Yes, easily but unless things change we won't finish much higher than 15th.

Half of this team can fuck off as far as I am concerned. Their performances under Wilder are now nothing but a distant memory.
 
Yes but with a slice of luck. If the bottom three weren’t so bad right now we would be in the relegation fight. 19 points from 17 is relegation form. We’ve won five fucking games and managed a measly three clean sheets in 17. It’s not mid table or inconsistent or average championship anymore. It’s genuinely shit. We are one of the weaker clubs in the league as it stands.
 
Not sure after today.

Derby will get out of it. Barnsley might, depending on who they appoint.
 
Before a ball was kicked last season I had us down for relegation.

This summer I had us down for a lower half finish but not being relegated. I'll stick with that for now but I'm starting to get worried as it's the same thing every week with no signs of improvement.

Tend to agree, this season has 78/79 written all over it and the final day game with Fulham is already set to be Slav’s ultimate humiliation.

In which case Mr Blessin’s regime will hopefully start in mid-May 2022 with hopefully a completely new squad, as the current squad will all disappear through relegation get-out clauses.
 
Even as dire as they are, this squad (and a manager where the jury is still out) should have enough to finish above Hull, Peterborough and Barnsley ffs. Funds need to be raised in January for reinforcements, I'd happily see most of them fucked off for a fee. Hope Slav doesn't turn out to be a flop.
 
We'll win enough games against the poorer sides. Lower middle or maybe mid-table if we find some form.

Too liberal a use of the word 'easily' there !

I've seen very little that gives confidence we can see any game out at the min. We're quite beatable by the 'on paper' worst in the division.
 
If we can keep Fleck, McBurnie, Robinson, and Stevens out of the team (i.e. actually play the game with 11 players), we'll beat enough of the shitty teams to be fine.

I think a January refresh will make us better...at least that is what I am clinging to!
Agree that we are soft as shit at the moment though and we have too many passengers in the starting 11.

Unfortunately we're on a downward spiral, 1 point from 9 against average opposition is not good.
Slavs got to tighten the defence by going to a back 3.

And thats it. In my admittedly negative view, any level of success this year (be it pie in the sky pipe dream of playoffs or skin of bollock avoidance of relegation), is completely dependent on squad investment (and good investment at that - something we're not currently famed for). We're a basket case currently and haven't yet bottomed out - tough year ahead.
 
Absolutely. We're fucking dreadful, really fucking dreadful. Yet incredibly there's 4 or 5 teams that are even dreadfuler.

If this lot get into a dogfight which is looking likely weve no chance of staying up. Absolutely no fight, bottlers and a team full of losers. If we finish 21st ill be celebrating because at the moment the writing is on the wall im afraid
 
Cannot defend, do not create enough, finishing is poor - the DNA of the team has defeat stamped through it like a stick of old rock. They could completely capitulate (like last season) and we drop. There should be enough in the team to avoid it but I am not holding my breath.

Not sure if you’re on the wind up. Surely you can’t be serious? Maybe you crave attention?

We’re very lucky because there’s some really poor teams at the bottom this season.
If anyone thinks Barnsley, Hull or Peterboro are better than us…then do some research.
Also Derby are great at not getting beat…but with draws they’ll struggle to catch us up.
Win 2 or 3 matches and the same people will probably be asking “can we make the playoffs”

Slav is famed for having a fantastic 2nd half of the season.
We’re playing some good football dominating most matches.
For example I spoke to several Blackpool fans after the match….they said they were very impressed with us
Said only Bournmouth and us have looked higher quality than them this season.

The big problem that’s holding us back is the defence and Slav has never been known for organising a defence.
He’s an attack minded player who lets goals in but tries to out score the opposition.
We’re far too good for the teams near the bottom but any decent teams our leaky defence means we probably need to score 3.

So at the moment, it’s looking like a nothing season…hate to make a sensible but boring prediction…but it’s probably going to be a mid table finish.
We’ll need to have one eye on next season so do we keep Slav to let him build or get rid, rip it up and start again.
