With the debate about a new stand for the Kop it struck me that the number of season tickets issued has been kept low so that supporters who currently sit on the Kop can be accomadated during the rebuilding.

Then again I might just need to get a more stimulating life!!!!

Interesting point, and might be why they've left the upper tier pay on the day...

I'd rather not get moved off the Kop, but if the powers-that-be decide to shift us temporarily at least it's not as far to the pub after.:D

If they do rebuild it i dont want a two tiered one. It would spoil the atmosphere of it, as everyone would be cut off.

Just keep a massive single tiered stand like Anfield.

yeah i agree single tierd goin all way back to shoreham street would be amazing maybe with some safe terracing would be great :)

It could be done easily. There is plenty room at the back as it is. The kop needs making steeper as it is fairly shallow, hence the poor view. Meaning less space would be needed as it would be going up at a higher degree of steepness

id like all the stands to remain equal height when looking from the pitch makes bramall lane one of the best looking stadiums in england in my biased opinion

I think with our current league position it's something that is being looked at very seriously as we speak.

I'd expect it to be started quite quickly if (when?) we stay up.

:)

When we stay up :p

I dont want a two tier one either if im honest just lets build t backwards :)

Just so long as they link the Kop to the South stand I don't care if it's 4 tier or just one. I just want rid of the side panel on the right of the South stand.

heard from someone that they are knocking top off south stand... continuing the tier all way round and into a new kop. then putting another tier on the John street stand.

i really hope we dont get tiered all the way around :(

Tiers are easier in terms of safety measures and stewarding so we may have to go down that line whether we like it or not. Don't forget the opportunity for more boxes......they even have done an "executive package" for the Youth cup match.

The days of big open Kops went years ago......at least I had the chance to witness that feeling and atmosphere.

Never to return I'm afraid.

:(

Insider info

Hi, i joined up because i have some more info on this subject in particular from Margaret Laver, who up until recently, was a string puller in the club.
She told my dad that the new kop will go ahead in 18 months time, regardless of weather or not the blades stay up.
Also she said it would be 2 tiers, with executive boxes. and offices, similar to the forsythe centre joining it to the south stand, thus enclosing the lane fully.

Sounds good to me but i wonder how it going to join onto the john street corner.

Hope i was of help. :D
