New kit requests

That Nike Shirt is exactly what we should have really and I like the collar on it as well.

L**ds new kit looks tacky so I assume our new shirt will look similar.

I like that one too. Also have the home shirt. Both were given to me by an Umbro rep who visited Worthington Sports in Horsforth to be told "there's a Blade works in the bank over the road".

I wish i could summon up the ability to be bothered about the quality of the kit we wear. I don't care if we wear hair shirts so long as they are worn to play premiership football.

I'm always curious to see the new shirts but do think they should keep home and away shirts for two years each, just alternate them.

Why do we always seem to miss a trick getting them out in time for people to buy for their summer holidays? Some seasons we have the new kit in place prior to the end of the previous season, others we seem to be rushing about trying to get one in time for the start of the new one!

Do we know who's making the kit and when we'll see it? If its Macron why isn't it already out like their others are?

Loved that kit! Remember when my Dad bought it for me it came in an Umbro presentation box which made it even more special.

I think it's something to do with the manufacturers prioritising based on order numbers, rather than any fault with the club. The clubs who place higher orders get their shirts sorted first.

for everybody who doesn't agree with changing kits every season...

Gillingham wore Red shirts last season for some centenary occasion. Bear in mind they won the league, fans were given the chance to vote whether to keep Red shirts or revert back to blue. They voted Blue and so Gillingham have re-released the shirt from two seasons ago.

It was a 4 year deal with the option of a further year so I understand.

There have been rumours about Kappa being the new supplier and someone else posted that a lad in the club shop said we were staying with Macron.

Foxy knows but is staying very tight-lipped about it all, which could suggest a new supplier but he has had to sign the official secrets act....

Blades are on there (http://www.macron.com/shop/eu/en/football.html) as are Villa. Having said that, so are West Ham and they have moved to Adidas..

I don't know why but I hated this shirt.

I don't think any away shirt we have had can beat the original luminous lime green shirt from the promotion season and our first year back...especially without the sponsors logo

Would be interesting to see what something like Celtics new home shirt would look like done with stripes rather than hoops.

I think it'd be different having our red stripes made up of so many smaller red stripes.

I wouldn't be totally against a return to the traditional Umbro brand next year i'm not sure but I think they might have just outgrown us these days and might only focus on top flight teams and internation teams. What I like about Umbro is the no nonsense traditional styling that they use and the quality to me is much better than anything we have had in recent years. For instance think of the thickness of England shirts in recent years and compare it to that of the recent Macron ones that are thinner than Izal toilet paper and probably rip your skin to pieces in a similar way . (might be beyond some).
