No stupid looking after thought crap collars please.

A decent collar which does not go all curly at the ends after one wash. One you can get a tie under for those times when you have to dress-up a bit.

1st football shirt I ever owned was that 75-76 away shirt. I think that was our 1st season with Admiral as makers.

Co-incidentally, Greenwich, that is my favourite ever Blades change kits. We had the matching tracksuits in black with white chevrons!

It was the first kit I owned FULLY, shirt, shorts, socks - the lot! I dragged my dad all round town one Saturday morning to get the shirt, finally locating it in House of Barrington I believe (or was it Archer's?).

House of Barrington or Sugg Sports I'd guess. 1975-76 was the first season that replica shirts were available in great numbers for people to buy, prior to that you could get a red and white striped shirt or even a white shirt with a red collar but they were generic cotton things that could be Sunderland, Exeter, Brentford or Liverpool (white shirt). Admiral were the first to start to produce 'designed' kits and mass produce them. Nowadays they'd slaughtered for having too many 'template' designs, but at the time this was new and unique.

Bit of irony in the only teams that got the chevron design shirt was us and West Ham

It must have been House of Barrington as I distinctly remember Suggs not having it!

Yep, I got generic red and white striped shirts for my 6th and 8th birthdays (first one round collar, second one 'v' neck). My mum made dusters out of the first one, but the 'v' neck lives on somewhere.

I got the retro replica of the yellow chevron shirt when it was sold in the Hall of Fame about nine years ago, but it's not the same - for a start it's cotton and the Admiral had a lovely sack-cloth texture (goes well with the ashes), and so subsequently the colour fades badly when you do normal stuff such as washing it.

This is my favourite away kit (i also get to wear this as often as i like as that is mine)

Saw someone wearing the emerald green kit from the mid 90s yesterday. Forgot how much I liked it. That, coupled with a laced collar, would do for me.

Stick with MAcron.. L*eds' shirt and GK next season is great.

Swap the Blue for Red and Yellow for Black and you've got a mint blades shirt

For an away kit something bight, yellow/green something that won't clash.... the Orange one we had a few years ago I liked also. as for home kit, don't think we'll ahve a better one then this season.
whisper ..... the leeds new kit is pretty nice.....

I think we should stick with the black inbetween red + white stripes. Its a really classy feature imo and i hope we use it for many years!

We've been in decline since black was introduced to the shirt. 1974-75 miss the title by 3 points. 1975-76 black trim introduced to the shirt for the first time, relegation and 74-75 becomes a pinnacle not close to being matched in the many seasons since. Lose the black in the shirt!!!!

What is that stupid blue stripe thing doing? and they could have made the sponsor logo the same colour blue.

It's like macron tries really really hard but is just naturally shite.

Is it just me that isn't really fussed about the kit? As long as it's red and white stripes it'll do.

I haven't wanted a replica kit since I was about 12. The only one ive had since was that free black shirt we got. That's for 5 a-side.
