The problem is that now there is a absolutely no consistent approach to decisions, either within a game or across a number of games. It becomes very frustrating!
Just as affective as a Conservative government!

Being a ref is really hard even in the easiest of games. Personally I think diving and faking injury needs retrospective bans and only the captains should be allowed to speak to the ref during the match. So much added pressure on them from players etc.

I don’t with a few recently due to the inconsistency, and utterly baffling views they seem to have now and again.

Hard job, never going to be always right, but the standard is falling through the floor.
This is my issue with it. It's reffing by numbers

Watch the replays, Egan's tackle 100% penalty.

Yep, I was stunned that he played advantage after the first challenge as that looked to be a pen, but on replays he was right as that was just outside the box. Follow up challenge made certain of the call

If every injured player had to stay off the pitch for say 2 minutes it might stop the shit housing.

It's still only a game though so the people who suffer are the players and the staff who are sacked at the end of the season.
The players are doing what the coaches say, so they are the ones orchestrating all the dives and the feigns to con the referee. They are the ones encouraging to leave one on the tricky player who has the skill or game management..
Deduct points if it continues, as the only one who loses are the fans who are cheated of a fair result. That is unless you bet on the outcome of a professional game..
