Never a dull moment

One thing you can say about being a blade is that there is hardly ever a season with no drama, cup run, promotion or relegation. looking back on the last 10 years supporters have had the following excitement or heartache.

2005/06 Promotion to the premier league great season never looked in doubt!!!. No cup runs

2006/07 Relegation on the last day by a single goal not to mention the Tevez saga that followed, manager sacked not long after. No cup runs

2007/08 No promotion or relegation but main drama was the change in manager Robson sacked, blackwell came in and had a great run. no cups to speak of.

2008/09 Finished 3rd and had playoff run that ended like they all do defeat in the final. Can't recall the cup runs

2009/10 Finished 8th Disappointing season no cup runs possibly the dullest, only real drama was Paddy Kenny getting banned for failing a drugs test. No cup runs

2010/11 Relegated to league 1 no cups either awful season went through 4 managers, including blackwell sacked after just 2 games in, Gary Speed left for Wales job, John Calver caretaker then Mickey adams possibly the worst manager we have ever had. No cup runs

2011/12 Playoff campaign once again with Danny Wilson in charge one of our most exciting seasons IMO played good football scored for fun but then Ched Evans got jailed and it all went wrong losing in the final once again to Huddersfield on pens this time, what made things worse Piggies down the round pipped us to second. No real cup run

2012/13 Another failed playoff campaign but this time we didn't make the final sacked Wilson with only a few games left possibly a mistake but we will never know. No Cup runs

2013/14 Awful start to the season under new manager Weir, sacked in october in came Nigel Clough and we very nearly made the playoffs, memorable FA cup run to the semi final at Wembley losing to Hull 5-3

2014/15 Yet another failed playoff campaign not making it to Wembley after losing to Swindon over 2 legs including a 5-5 draw at there place. A memorable League cup run this time pushing Tottenham over 2 legs all the way. Season ended by the sacking of Clough.

2015/16 ??????????????

Let hope this season is a happy one, just want promotion not bothered about cups just get out of this league

31 year old Matt here. Born in September 83 so I get the same tally as mattbianco1 but my memories really start in 96/96; parents who weren't into their football means I didn't really follow the results before that (except the three that I do remember, all of which were defeats: FA cup semi in 93, last day of the season in 94 and my first game: Leeds at home in 92).
