It was brilliant, could have gone on for hours. Marginally annoyed by a very animated millers fan sat next to us (you probably heard him) and his mates continually getting up for the bar/bogs, just like being at the lane.

I sat was behind them lot. Lad thought he was on the terraces.

Excellent evening. Just what you would expect from Warnock. Surprisingly self-deprecating about his ability as a player, no such doubts when it comes to management. Good anecdotes, passion for football comes through all the time. Of the ex-players, I thought Asaba came across best. Tongue is the opposite of Warnock, but kept smiling as he was being ribbed. Kozluk looks about 10 years younger than when he retired- perhaps we could re-sign him as cover at full-back.
And as has just been said, Warnock’s poetry was terrible (sorry, Neil, but you did say you like Yorkshire honesty🤣).

Did Kozzy live up to his reputation as being a good laugh, because he’s always dull as dishwater on the SUTV coverage?

Kozzy was really funny, told a couple of stories and got seemed a great guy to have in a dressing room, not sure I could cope with his high pitched voice for long periods of time, but good all the same. Him, Browny and Tonguey all look like they could boot up and get a game now, hardly aged at all. We were sat right behind Morgan, Tonguey and Kossy for the first half, i think it was Gary Sinclair just to the side of them. Cracking night, Neil looked like he was going to burst into tears at the end, proper emotional night for him, but he seemed to genuine love it and got a rapturous round of applause from all who were there. It had Paul Walker compering and asking questions, it started about 7.50 and finished about 11, and if they’d have let him, I’m sure he could have done a Ken Dodd and just locked up himself about 2 in the morning, around 2 and a half hours and it’s like he’d only scratched the surface. Oh yeah, he’s not very fond of Gary Megson either, I think his exact words were “I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire”😁 UTB⚔️

I thought it was interesting that his time at Middlesbrough was glossed over. Clearly some bitterness there although not sure if that is against Wilder or Gibson. A good night, thou
Both I reckon

Was Michael Tonge there?

Sounds excellent!

All the ex players took it in turns to tell a funny anecdote about NW.
Tonge was last and was telling a long, boring one until Neil shut him down with, 'fucking hell Tongey, you're sending us all to fucking sleep'
Very funny but did feel a bit sorry for Tonge.
Typical Warnock.

Just wanted to bring this thread back up as I went to Warnock's Middlesbrough night yesterday.

He went in a bit more detail about his time at Boro and at the time had some Ill feeling about his dismissal but has said that him and Gibson made up since then so he was talking about him quite fondly.

He very clearly has a thing against Wilder though as he didn't even refer to him by name. Certainly makes me wonder what happened there.

Presumably he's pissed off at the way he was replaced by CW at Boro, not sure what went on.

Could well be he's pissed off someone took the 'blade come manger, come good' knowing him. Cankerous, mardy, loveable bastard he is.
