From a reliable source, he's gonna Ipswich, deal is nailed on. You heard it here.

Can't see it tbh, he's one of the best we have at the moment but far from good enough for the championship. League 1 is his level im afraid.

I can - Just the sort of player Mick McCarthy would recruit for his team.

He played for McCarthy at Wolves between 2007 and 2010 but was sent on loan when Wolves reached the Premiership. I think McCarthy rates him as a Championship centre half but has concerns over his pace at Premiership level.

It would still be a shame to see him leave - he's a good defender.

I think he has improved a lot since we went down, however I still don't rate him as highly as others do. Still can't see it happening: Hill out? leaving only higgo and Harry at a pivitol point of the season?.... Would show our management up top to be a right bunch of retards.... oh wait...

Had him at Sunlan as well I think

He is one of the only few remaining players we have that are not total third tier shite.

Another nail in our third division coffin if it happens. Blackman would be the final one.

Seem to remember that you have a track record of making controversial tip offs that don't happen but generally stir up unrest? Apologies in advance if I'm wrong and feel free to prove me wrong.

What is quite amusing, is that if he leaves before the next episode of people deciding he's the worst footballer to ever live and making him the new scapegoat, there will be some level of outrage :)

Some people have very short memories and are incredibly fickle :)

The only one ive ever said, was Beattie returning, and he returned.

When Collins was dire in the championship (surely you don't deny this?) were people right to say he was dire?

When Collins was very good last season, were people right to say he was very good?

Should people deny what is playing out in front of them to avoid being labelled fickle or creating scapegoats?

If he goes then i hope we get an decent wedge for him & get in another experienced CB to partner Harry.

Sorry have to disagree with the partnering Harry bit. Higginbotham + 1 for me

I did think when higginbotham was brought in that would be a centre back would be off in the JTW. I always assumed it would be Harry though.

If Collins goes, it's no great loss. Higginbotham is probably a better defender anyway. Does leave us a bit short for the next couple of weeks whil hill and LJF return to fitness.

Can't Higginbotham play LB? I'd prefer him there and Collins back in. Just to get rid of hill and Williams if nothing else

Yes. It's the only way.

Collins, and Doyle, were dreadful in our demise from the Championship. Both improved significantly for a drop in class and were much better last season. One of them has maintained that level this season whilst the other has regressed again.
The idea that players levels of performance don't change from one season to the other is something I find very strange (especially after we saw Stuart McCall go from integral team member to passenger in a 10 minute spell once).

I would prefer it if Collins stayed whilst we are in this league. I would probably "get rid" if we went up. How fucking fickle is that?

Hope it's not true. Excellent in the air, makes very few mistakes and our most consistent defender in the last 18 months.
