As I've read so many posts on here about Harry it has crossed my mind the influence both Collins and Morgs have had in his development.

''I think his biggest attribute is he’s so willing to listen. I’m not shy giving opinions but he was always so open to any advice and to take it on board and implement it.”

I'll just leave that here....
:D:D:D

I think whilst Collins' comments do seem to be giving himself a pat on the back, there is no doubt that good and bad, playing alongside a more experienced defender will have helped Harry to settle in.

Harry was immense at times, prone to errors too, but also very good in the air on set pieces. In short, a young developing player.

One thing that playing alongside Collins did though was preparing him to play in a back three in that he covered a lot of ground.

This will also have prepared him for having other people blame him for their mistakes, in public, with finger pointing and angry face, and the volume turned to 11.

Has Harry accepted responsibility yet for the goals scored by Tunisia, Panama, Belgium and Columbia, or for Sterling running up blind alleys? This will be when we can really see the benign guiding influence of the great Collobauer in Harry’s early development.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of the big 6 clubs came knocking when he comes back to England .

"When the big dog comes knocking" eh? That's a McCabism for yer. Don't know what the f*ck it means, but McCabe does obviously.

I wonder if that's how McCabe describes Bournemouth - as "the big dog"? Never really thought of Bournemouth as "a big dog", and still don't, but it's pissed up our lamp post for sure.

I think you finished my comments off better than i could've done.

You've nailed it :D

He was one of the most 'developed' youngster I've seen at BDTBL...shame he came into a car-crash of a team and relegation.

Collins was such a positive influence on young players and always there with a word of encouragement.............o_O

And it helped his partner reach the World Cup quarterfinals with England

I often wonder which path Harry Maguire’s career would have taken had he not played alongside Neill fucking Collins.

Emphasis being on the fucking.

What is wrong with some people on here ? They seem to have twisted views.

Of course Collins was a massive influence on Harry. He had to be. He learnt from an early age what NOT to do when trying to defend.
