As an older fan having watched blades since 1974 I've seen plenty of good and bad over the years. Last night I watched in the flesh Ndiaye, his running with the ball, quick feet, and ability to beat his marker particularly on the turn is top quality.
Not seen anyone do that sort of thing since Alex Sabella in a blades shirt. We might have uncovered a gem, well done to the manager for putting him in.
After a few minutes last night he was cleaned out and roughed up by Preston, the referee should have done more all night to protect him, but was poor overall I thought.
Who is going to be his minder, other teams will be ready to dish out the same treatment, ... Sabella had Mick Speight to fight his battles for him!

Agree, but Ndiaye needs to look after himself. In the first half he kept finding himself at centre forward with his back to goal which was inviting the roughing up you talk about. Second half he drifted into areas, deeper, where he could turn and run at defenders. This is where he needs to be.

It’ll take time for him to learn how to avoid and ride those type of tackles I remember the same happening with brooks

Yes, it begs the question though of what the referee is doing, it's malicious synical play which he should recognise early, and get his card out. Last night the Preston centre backs were on Sharp's shoulders all night, not one booking, .....

We were chatting about N’Dieye on the Kop.

One bloke commented that his playing style reminds him of Gabriel Jesus, He laughed and said from a distance he looks like the Brazilian too.

Watched on red button, so no replays, but the challenge in the first minute looked horrendous. Couldn't believe the guy wasn't at least booked.

Watching the extended highlights, Ndiaye was better than I thought last night. He was less involved, but when he gets it things happen. Really enjoying having him & Gibbs-White in this side.

I thought he played really well with the ball at his feet but definitely needs to learn to pass more rate excited about his future think hes going to be a baller

He’ll be our version of Adel Taarabt but with a much better attitude.
