I wouldn’t be against basically borrowing our right hand side from Palace for the season. He’ll have played with JSR and is the kind of experienced pro we look like we need at the back.

Clyne is a solid defender, but he isn't used as a pure RB any more, his legs have gone. He doesn't have the pace to chase wingers around.

He's now used as a RCB in a back 3, and is too useful to Palace as a squad player in that position.
