Not really been involved for us yet, but when he came on looked lively. Although not everything came off for him, he tried to commit his man and take on a number of players, nearly wriggling through a couple of times. Then when the whistle went at the end he sat down with his head in hands as if we'd just been relegated, couple that with the fact he didn't want to be loaned out on deadline day and fight for his place, just shows how much Wilder has got every single one of that squad right up for it and committed to the Blades way, long may it continue. Would be great to see him coming off the bench a bit more as he looks like he could be a real live wire.

agreed, I was impressed by him and he certainly showed confidence and pace and as you say a good atitude wanting to fight for his place,

love this team at the moment , the manager and players are bleeding red and white and the fans know this,
chanting our team off at the end after a 1-0 defeat just shows the togetherness of this whole club at the moment

onwards and upwards and from what i have seen so far , there is absolutely nothing to fear from this league
on a side note really hope CW avoids a touchline ban , especally for the next game ...

Really dribbles at speed and is the only out and out winger we have. I'd like to see more of him but it might be hard for him to get in the squad.

Thought he did OK when he came on, put in a good chunk of effort and may well end up being a useful impact sub when the situation is right. That said I wouldn't be surprised if he gets loaned out for a bit in the JTW to get game time

It's always going to be difficult for a winger to force his way into a side that has had so much succes playing 3-5-2. We don't have many though so he could be useful if we want to mix things up, so any sort of game time will help him develop and he'll hopefully give wilder options as the season progresses.

Very direct and energetic, I like him.

A tough game to try and influence today but he did ok.

Agree. Good cameo today.

Has not had much of a chance to date but has done well when he has played. Walsall and today.

Would like to see him more on the bench to maybe get 10 mins or so here and there.

UTB

I've been hoping to see him play as I think he could be just what we need later in the season, but as I couldn't make today I'm glad you chaps have enlightened me this eve.
He does look like one to watch, if wilder can get him playing well in the right position I don't see why we can't introduce him abit more into the fold, bit more bench warming to start, would like to see him and Donaldson on together, think him whipping balls into the box will suit Donaldson down to the ground.
Glad the boy did well though today.

He was direct dribbling at speed, at least he tried the difficult option instead of passing sideways.

Lost the ball a few times but always looked dangerous.
I think he'll make a great sub and we should try him when we need a spark.

He's totally different from all our other attackers(other than maybe Brooks). He's direct, pacey and asks questions of defenders. Very he doesn't make the bench more often, instead of Duffy who is just a poor mans carruthers

Really?

I thought we lost something when Duffy went off.

I thought Thomas was very good though. Like to see more of him.

Think Duffy is terrible against better defences. Just passes it sideways and loses the ball. Offers zero goal threat

I thought Thomas did OK he can beat a man and get a cross in.

I'm normally a big fan of Duffy. I think he's crucial to the way we play, but he wasn't on his game today. Be that because he didn't have his captain or other usual strike partners in front of him, or Norwich were just good at closing us down. Something didn't work. I'd have brought Carruthers on sooner. Saying that we didn't have a single fit striker today (Ched isn't fit) so it's not a surprise we lost.

Showed he's worthy of a more regular place on that bench. Very bright and positive, I thought.

Do you watch us play? Duffy has been outstanding since he came back, he is the most intelligent player we have.

I don't think he did enough yesterday. On the ball, ok, did reasonably well. However, it was the off the ball, the getting into the box where i was completely unimpressed. He needed to be busting a gut to get on the end of crosses, he needed to be coming off that pitch knackered.

I think he can do more.

As debuts go, he was average, but a tough game to come into

When I saw the highlight reels after we signed Thomas I thought he looked like he could play a decent number 10. If Evans needs an op play this guy with brooks. I think they could have some fun

Very harsh imo. He was only on the pitch from the 74th minute, so he only had about 20 mins in the game - and you've made an assessment like this based on that? Are we talking about the same player -Nathan Thomas? He's a winger you know, so what's this about him "busting a gut to get on the end of crosses?" wingers are the ones providing the crosses.

Considering this is the first time that lad has made the first team in a league game I thought he showed a lot of promise. Fast, direct, willing to shoot.

He's not a number 10 mate - he's a wide player - a winger.

Thought he looked sharp imo.

Much better balls in then Stephens and looked much more comfortable when he didn't have to do the defensive work (I.e LWB in the cups)

Good option and the injury crisis is an opportunity for him. Atm we don't play with wingers so he's gonna be limited to a impact sub or when we tweak formations

Agree he looks like an exciting talent.
The big positive for me is he's equally comfortable going left or right when taking a man on.

Liked what I saw in his sub cameo , prepared to try and beat the full back & looked sharp and direct I'd like to see a bit more of him . Freeman & Stevens decided both to have an off day on the same day yesterday

Looked very direct - quick - and his first ball in was excellent (nobody got on the end of it though).

He looked much better than what I had been led to believe - I hope he gets more game time.
