I think he's better than Webber, and on his game he can be as good as stead.

Gutted to see him go, i'll have to have someone else on my shirt

:cry2:

I'd have to disagree, he has the potential to be better. But I would have Webber ni the squad over Nade.

Radio Sheff recon around £500k :(, thats a steal if he plays to half his potential.

Thats a disgrace, 500k

Robson has not made a good start to his sheffield united carear, to say the least.

Nade was better in the prem than Webber last season, how does that make Webber the better player?

Come on Sharpy, horses for courses, you do get players who are better in the Championship and players who are better in the Premiership.

Whilst I'll be sad to see Nade go, as I think he's a very good player with a lot of potential, you have to remember that Webber is proven at this level. Nade isn't, and he wasn't really proven in the Prem last season either.

Be interesting to see what kind of a team Robbo builds; just hope it's not all old men!

i can see the potential of this coming back to bite us in the bollocks, well those of us that have them anyway

Now I'm still in two minds over Nade, he's shown some real potential at times but in the main has been frustrating for me - whether thats down to NW not playing him to his strengths or not I don't know - granted he is particularly unpredictable but he just seemed to lack that something else when it really mattered.

Ceefax says £550,000 which I think for his potential and CKR going for £1m makes that seem a little on the low side - don't get me wrong I do rate Nade but there are others I personally rate higher.

Still, chances are we'll end up buying him back for £3m should we achieve promotion again next season:rolleyes: :D

On the other hand.... perhaps he was played to his strengths and what we saw is possibly the best we will get out of him???

But either way, it won't be that big of a loss, but I'd have rather kept him and sent him out on loan.

True, I think he could've been a different option off the bench. These things do have a habit of turning round and biting us!

Yeah I know what you mean, but it's same with any player who leaves any club. There is always a possibility of them coming back to bite you, ala Unsworth

But to be honest, players who leave United don't really go on to better themselves. Look at all the prospects that have left us over the years, just to see their careers go down tha pan.

From the BBC site
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/6897526.stm

"Sheffield United have agreed to sell French striker Christian Nade to Championship rivals Hull City for £550,000, reports BBC Radio Sheffield.
The Blades have given Nade permission to begin talks over a possible switch to the KC Stadium.

The French under-21 international scored four goals in eight starts last season for the Bramall Lane side but mainly featured as substitute.

He joined Sheffield United from Troyes on a three-year contract in June 2006."

Looks like he's off. Hopefully we can get more than half a million, and will have a sell-on clause stuck in there somewhere.

Yeah, like Michael Brown, Trianos Dellas, Marcus Bent, Brian Deane... ;)

The fact is, were selling Nade and Keeping Horsfield.

That is a complete joke.

Not necessarily; we might be selling Horsfield as well, it could just be that no-one's come in for him yet...

i think horsfield will get lost soon :D probably back to leicster seem as thought they are signing a whole new team :p

which will now leave us with

Hulse,Webber,Stead,Shelton,Sharp
and to be honest i think Webber will go and robson will have a first class striker lined up,

Terrible, terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE decision if Nade if allowed to go, that boy has some real potential, the fact that Horse is being kept over Nade makes me feel sick.

It will be another Billy Sharp if we let Nade go, mark my words.

Webber and Horse can go, Nade wouldl cause more damage than both of those next season.

ive not read through rest of thread from here onwards im too pissed too.

but i agree qith sharpy 100% here except the fact i think nade will be a much better palyer than sharp in a few years

Maybe, but their careers hardly went down the pan, did they?

Brown offers Nade 'safe' deal
By Steve Bramley - Created on 18 Jul 2007

Hull boss Phil Brown insists he will not break the club's wage structure by signing Christian Nade.

Instead Brown has offered the Sheffield United striker an incentive-based contract to join the Tigers, after the clubs agreed a fee of £550,000.

The French striker scored just three Premier League goals in 21 appearances for the Blades last season, but Brown believes he has the potential to be a huge hit in the Championship.

Brown says the three-year deal, which includes bonus payments for appearances and goals, is a safeguard for both himself and the club.

"For a guy who could potentially be a top striker in the Championship, I've had to safeguard myself with regards to his deal," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"We must safeguard our standards by getting the right players in and we need to test they are mentally right for what we want to achieve.

"We must also ensure the finances are not going to break the wage structure or the bank."

Meanwhile, City are taking a look at French trialist Shana Hagi. The 18-year-old is set to play for the youth team this week.

Looks like a deal is on the table for him.

showed some good skill and strength and his sprinting burst was good too. his fitness was/is always a question as hes never been fit enough really for a full match.

fair play to the lad and good luck to him!
