I agree mate, but that, and a certain lack of confidence, can all be down to fitness. Coutts has played almost his entire career at Championship level - good clubs too - Derby, Preston and Pboro and, I believe, first-choice and very well thought of at all of them. Since then he's had a serious knock which has set him back badly. I'm not saying the PC we saw last season is our best midfielder, simply saying that the player who seemingly performed with distinction over several seasons at a league higher than us, if back to that form, would be in with a great shout for that accolade. Personally, I hope he, Wallace and Bash are all fully fit and firing. If so, we'll have the best CM in the league. They're all six-footers as well. Lots of 'ifs' I accept.

Coutts and Wallace clearly have bags of ability. I personally thought in both play off games we started to see glimpses of what a good player we have in Coutts. I really hope Wallace can stay fit for the duration because with them three we have healthy competition. Not forgetting we also have Flo (who I think we will see more of now Clough has gone) and Baxter (who is still young and WILL improve despite his recent actions).

Oh and I Scoogs but I don't see him as a starter any more than I do Reed.
