Surprised Keith Waugh hasn't had a mention
I thought Waugh was a bloody good keeper, if not outstanding, solid, dependable and rarely made mistakes.
Alan Fettis one of the best goalkeepers York City have ever had, I watched him pull off some great saves and keep York in a number of games they had no right to stay in. He was far too good for that level, he should have played no lower than Championship throughout his entire career.Watched live for me is
1, Kelly
2, Tracey
3,Deano
4, Kenny
5, Alan Fettis (3 games 2 clean sheets. Stats to die for)
He’s been a coach at Man U academy for a few years, not sure how much he had to do with Henderson coming through the ranks but he’s really respected as a coach now. Just like Ian Rush though, career peaked at laneAlan Fettis one of the best goalkeepers York City have ever had, I watched him pull off some great saves and keep York in a number of games they had no right to stay in. Never saw the Cat play but he is legendary in one book I read regarding hitch hiking.I need to really get my head round this, so for now I'm saying:
1 Jim Brown
2 Jimmy Brown
3 James Brown
4 Jim Browne
5 The Cat aka Bagpuss

He's such a modest chap as well. Apparently humbly describes himself as The World's Greatest Hitchhiker.Never saw the Cat play but he is legendary in one book I read regarding hitch hiking.
As did Mel Rees' lap of honour that day, fair crack to the pig fans giving him a standing ovation too.Judged by the few games he played for us, no one is better than Mel Rees. Unless you were there to see it, it's hard to believe/explain that a keeper came from nowhere and was basically world class for a handful of games for us.
Kelly's performance v. Wednesday at Wembley takes some matching as well.
Kenny was excellent for us, never gets the plaudits though. Why? I think the ones I've seen like ST & AK & MR were better but he was bloody reliable, Much as I love ST, he made a lot of bad errors too.Got to find a spot for Paddy Kenny, think i would put him at 3, and swop Kelly and Tracey round in spots 4 and 5.
Alan Hodgkinson,exceptional keeper.
Never heard of mcallister, what year was that?
My top 5
Henderson
Ramsdale
Kenny
Bennett
Blackman
yes I was on the lop that day and yes I did hear the crack terrible challenge then he had the nerve to plead his innocence.QUOTE="ancientblade, post: 3357502, member: 24234"]

Just the keepers in my time. We really don't have many to choose from considering the ones who missed out of my list were, Simmonsen, long, bunn, Moore and verrips.I know its all opinions, and I'm guessing your a youngish blade, but Bennett and Blackman?? I'd have jags ahead of both
