Johnson using his pace to run on to Coutts through balls and feed Billy.
4 times this will happen, of which Billy will score twice.
We just need to work out who's going to score the other 2 so we can come away with a draw.

Not for me. Norwood didn’t have his best game but doesn’t deserve to be dropped. However, I like the idea of playing Johnson up front. I posted on this a few weeks ago. I think he will offer some pace in attack and that could change the dimension a bit.

Hendo - JOC, Egan, Stearman - Stevens, Basham, Norwood, Baldock - Duffy - Sharp, Clarke

McGoldrick done not much wrong but he does seem like the sort of player where we need to manage minutes. Similar with the wing backs, Freeman had his worst game in a while so give Baldock a run. When was the last time Fleck was given a break? Push Bash up a touch and let Stearman get some minutes, if it's going alright sub Bash for Coutts, if not then Stearman off for whoever writes itself

Starting Johnson away from home (albeit against a decent technical side) when we don’t have a bigger man up front would certainly be something which we’ve rarely seen under wilder.

I think you’re more likely to see Leon and Johnson up front

Baldock and Coutts in,Norwood bench
Norwood played like he was pissed,Coutts might not last but should start.
For fucks sake don’t sub Duffy we are shite without him.

Johnson up top? I don't get it.

Johnson!??? Are you sure, and sober!????
Rather play Washington to be honest.

There's some guy called Woodchuck? Woodcock? Woodmouse? Could he do a job up front?

Funny one to be fair, drop a player who's absolutely integral to our success.

In my opinion Wilder picked our best team in the last two matches.

It's just question whether the energy levels of our best team can be maintained.

It's looking like Freeman could do with a breather.

It's also looking like Coutts might be used to freshen up Fleck/Norwood to give them a push or a rest.

Otherwise we need to do things a bit quicker until we can get in another striker and an attacking midfielder.

I know it might swim against the tide but maybe Woodburn gets put back on the bench to give Duffy a rest and see if he can fulfill that cameo role.

In order to accommodate, it may mean choosing between Freeman and Johnson on the bench given Moore, Stearman, Coutts plus 2 strikers seem fixtures. Given the mileage he's covered, telling him to go and rest up in the sun for a week might not be bad management before the Christmas period.

Wouldn't surprise me if there were 4 changes. Freeman just has to be dropped. Baldock has NEVER played as badly as Freeman has lately.

Agreed, best starting 11 we have at the moment. However that isn't necessarily the case all season so it's a good opportunity for a couple of the squad to stake a claim. Leon, Baldock and Coutts could all easily replace their counterparts if they are on form and fully fit, a performance like the weekend might be the incentive that they need,

Swap Baldock in for Freeman and leave it at that.

That is still our best line up.

If they don’t perform again then we have problems as until Coutts is fully fit we have nothing to improve what started on Saturday.

This Definitely ,

Freeman needs a break and has been poor in general for a few games now and at fault for several key goals recently
I like Baldock and feel he deserves a game or two

As long as Freeman doesn't play.

Keeping him in the side this long has been a ridiculous fuck up by Wilder.

I’d give Woodburn a go up front. It’s been a theme for a few games now that we haven’t really given the opposition too much else to think about up top recently. Brentford will have scouted that and will know that we often struggle to break between the lines. Tbh either Johnson or Washington might be good shouts for that role too but I think Woodburn deserves a chance to show what he can do from the start rather than being thrown on in a desperate attempt to find a goal.

We can’t play any worse than Saturday and I know Wilder will want to rest some players ahead of Saturday so I’d like to see us change it up a bit and hopefully a bit of pace up top could maybe drag a few of their defenders around and create the space for Fleck and Norwood to do their thing. For me we need to find an alternative way of playing when Plan A isn’t working and introducing a bit more tempo up front would be a good way of doing that

Baldock in for Freeman is obvious. Giving Coutts a game in place of Fleck or Norwood is probably a sensible reminder that we have options if they underperform.

Starting with plan C and trying a frontline of Woodburn/Clarke/Johnson might not be the worst thing, we need an alternative to relying on Duffy all the time and plan A can still be sat on the bench if needed.

The Leeds game should be back to the Rotherham line-up (with the possible exception of Freeman).
