Take your points but if he does the business and helps us into the play offs and who knows if we get there win them .He will become a legend which usually doesn't happen over night.
Maybe i'm dreaming but don't put a dampner on it York blade it's there for the taking.
Too a man they all put a shift in yesterday, more of the same please with a few goals.

His Blades contract expires on the same day as his Rubin Kazan contract is up.

If it works out, we're at the front of the queue to sign him as a free agent.

He's over 24 so no compensation either.

If we couldnโ€™t afford him when we were playing Premiership football Iโ€™m pretty sure we canโ€™t afford him now tbh (and I accept this) but heโ€™ll probably be playing to attract interest from larger suitors I donโ€™t blame him letโ€™s take advantage while we can.

It doesn't. If you look on Transfermarkt on some pages the 'contract ends' is that of the loan/deal at current club. If you delve further you'll see he is contracted until 2024. All could change with the current geopolitics of course.

This is correct. I did a video saying this so was getting worried I had got it wrong.

I'd understood he was due to be out of contract, hence the motivation for making a move now, as Transfermarkt showed his Rubin Kazan expiry to be 2022. It seems they updated it when his transfer to us was added.

He signed a 4 year deal when joining Rubin Kazan in July 2018 and there aren't any articles suggesting he has extended it since, but I'm happy to be corrected on this.

Let's go with 2024 and change perspective - the FIFA ruling gave non-Russian players at Russian clubs the option of suspending their contracts. It didn't happen automatically, he chose to. The Russian Premier League hasn't stopped, he could've carried on playing.

There's every likelihood foreign players returning to Russia if/when the suspension lifts will be (wrongly) looked upon negatively. He'll be aware of this and taking the option to get out now suggests he wants out altogether.

Is he treating his spell here purely as putting himself in the shop window? My assumption is that we've attracted him and met his demands once, that must give us an edge if his long-term future becomes available.

Perhaps he's on a big wage we can only justify in the short-term and because there's no transfer fee involved.

That doesn't sit quite right, I feel PH wants him long-term and we could've gone down the Cranie route of short-term and cheap to help us out of a sticky situation at RCB.

NB - compensation is a standard outcome when a player becomes a free agent and is under 24. If his club offer a new deal that at least matches his current terms, they are entitled to compensation if he rejects it and moves on. My point was simply that, as a free agent, compensation wouldn't be due as he's over 24. Whether he is a free agent is a grey area, with FIFA likely to make a further ruling before July to avoid foreign players in Russia being left in limbo.

That is called tracking back. Because he did this he could put in a tackle. Very simple game really. When done right, it looks like that. Future legend....I hope.

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ she is only on f give her a chance should be with you late November ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”
Well I must have already had my turnโ€ฆโ€ฆmust have been Friday night, no wonder I was late home and couldnโ€™t explain to Mrs BBT where Iโ€™d been๐Ÿค”

But next time you have the whole goal to aim at, spoon one in you sexy Croat bastard!

Seems to be a proper defender. Not the most technically gifted (as we sadly saw with the last kick of the game) but looks strong in the tackle, and reads the game well. I'll forgive the odd gaffe as he adjusts to the new team and style of play. I'm very, very pleased with what I've seen of him so far.

Iโ€™m sure Mrs Western is a lovely lady but Iโ€™m washing my hair and have a headache and Iโ€™m a bit tired.
Reminds me of a jokeโ€ฆ

A man is walking home late at night and a woman steps out of the shadows and she says..โ€would you sleep with me for ยฃ100? โ€œ and he says โ€œwell Iโ€™m not really tired but I could do with ยฃ100โ€.

One of the things I like about him is that he is often giving verbals to both home and opponent players.
Given that he is only 2 games in this is big plus this lad
