Yeah I’m not saying we’re not an attractive proposition just that we’re in a cluster of similarly sized mostly midlands/northern clubs.
It’s also about availability though Yogi isn’t it. A lot of those clubs in not all aren’t available for sale.

True like I’ve said I’m not saying we’re not an attractive proposition just that I’d be surprised if we got a really transformative owner. If I’m honest I’d settle for someone who’s able to financially stabilise the club and look to improve the infrastructure but I’d be very pleasantly surprised if that’s why we got just looking around at other comparative clubs.

Got it on good authority (mi mate just messaged mi and he once shook hands with Alan Woodward - Legend R.I.P.), that this billionaire Yank takeover geezer is Tom Gore, Detroit Piston NBA Team owner!! WHOOO-WAY-TO-GO, WHOO!!!
Sorry if I disappointed anyone by not having a 90second drumroll before I named him!!, my bad!!! 🤣🤣

Perhaps these American investors don’t see us as the dominating club more of a feeder for the MSL ? We are after all pretty good with home grown talent and quite a punt at supposedly £110 million compared to £2.5 billion Chelsea one thing is that we’d get a good training facility and may be cheap hot dogs Costco style.

so due to the OP's honking ITK record i think we can safely file this under not happening....
I did not realise it was that attention seeking muppet. Just selected a few ITK examples from him…..

There was def a S/f book in the 60's 70's = intergalactic war where the aliens were lizards inside something or other just cannot remember now
There was the film V, where the visitors to earth disguise themselves as humanoid but are actually lizards underneath. There was a scene that terrified me as a kid in which a (very hot) lady alien eats a whole live rat.

Yeah, as 80's aliens go, I can think of worse things taking over the Earth........

The mini-series V possibly?

"The original miniseries debuted in the United States on NBC on May 1, 1983. Series creator Kenneth Johnson has said that the story was inspired by the 1935 novel It Can't Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis."

Potential yes but no more so than a decent amount of other clubs United are probably comfortably in the third tier of English clubs possessing a good fan base and history but not exceptional in either. The top tier having big fan bases and great historic achievements and the second tier like Villa and Newcastle having big fan bases.

I think for some strange reason the value of football clubs in general has risen over the last few years

Two examples:

Chelski- £2.5billion
Chancers pigs - he wanted £300m. Yes £300m for a 3rd div club

I’m still trying to fathom out which value is the more ridiculous?

There was also the John Carpenter movie 'They Live' where aliens projected a kind of beam across cities that made people see the aliens as humans, not the horrible skull-like beings they really were.

Roddy Piper and Keith David come across a shipment of sunglasses, that allows humans to see things as they really are. The glasses allow them to see who is an alien (mostly the priviledged rich) and also decipher adverts, When they wear the glasses they can see that adverts are really very simple messages like 'consume' and 'obey'.

At the time, it was widely seen as a metaphor for the evils and inequality brought about by unrestrained capitalism.
