McCabe's been found out! He won't do an interview because he can't spout his hogwash anymore We have seen through his facade - McCabe is out for one person himself - He wanted the glory of being a succesful chairman of a succesful premier league club - we are where we are as a direct action of mismanagement at the highest level!
Mr McCabe will not give an interview because he hasn't a clue how to defend himself - you cannot defend the indefensable - Mr McCabe is the reason we are where we are - relegation bound with a sh!te team, a sh!te squad with no leadership or direction!!!

Right now, the very very last thing we need is another radio interview with Superblade. RS could simply re-run any of his pevious ones "as live" and we'd be none the wiser.

Mr McCabe has stepped down from his role as chairman there will be no forums from him or interviews. He has money invested in the club and he will gradually be taking it out. Interest free obviously.

I'll tell you what his plan is, which is currently in full force.

Step 1. Recoup monies wasted on off field ventures by selling the playing squad's top assets.

Step 2. Start to transfer assets paid for by the football club such as a wholly unneeded hotel to your property company at a fraction of the original cost.

Step 3. Try and remain competitive on the field by propping up the remains of the asset stripped squad with expensive loans and sheer hope.

Step 4. If step 3 works then continue to make public announcements stating how much of a fan you are and how well run the club is.

Step 5. If step 3 fails then appoint a long standing board member and close ally as football club chairman and return to your home in Belgium stating you are no longer the Chairman.

Also along the way you may consider:

Bottle the chance of playing Premier League football by selling the one player who could get the extra goals needed, in the January transfer window. The gamble of Losing £700,000 in wages from Jan to May versus the promotion money of £70,000,000 must be ignored (remember throughout this to go on Local Radio and claim the player has a cold)

When the season ends in massive failure after losing another big final. Use a metaphor that Mr Arkwright of Balby would have been proud of when describing your intention not to sell the future crown jewels of the club. Days later sell them in a 2 for 1 deal.

Give your first team manager all summer to build an obviously weak squad then sack him when his gets beaten by the club's most successful manager in recent years who you appointed and sacked because, by the end of his tenure he was more famous than you.

Attend forums with supporters where every answer you give must be long winded and reveal exactly fuck all.

When on Local Radio remember to mention ambition and the reporters name as often as possible.

Also never ever forget to belittle and condesend your fanbase as much as possible by using Marketing Campaigns such as "Tru Blade Thru n Thru" and "Only true blades are at the lane" during the worst economic recession in 25 years.

The above was taken from the yet to be published "How to run a successful football club" by Mr K McCabe.

Spot on. We won't and shouldn;t hear anything from McCabe. He's gone. Yesterday.s man. Move on. Nothing to see here.

Sadly, everything to see here Rattly, as we still owe a fortune to this man for his brilliant business plans as outlined above by Worksop. Hoping to hear soon whats happening about this debt for shares move and how much we are still in hock to Mcblunder once its done.

great post worksop.. bravo mate..
as i have said on here many times.. is maccabe still alive or what?

Top post from Worksop. 101% accurate summary of the reign of King Kev.

It's only interest free because he's lost all his interest in the Blades

To be fair to the bloke, he was at the helm when we we went up to the Prem and (for those with goldfish memories) was reckoned to be one of the best chairmen around at that time.

I'd like to know why every one of his major decisions since that time has gone belly up.

Did he simply get bored with the club once we were relegated?

Did the Tevez Affair poison his interest in football as a whole?

Did the economic crash in construction cripple him financially so he could no longer afford to support the club properly in both money and attention?

In short - did his time at the top turn sour because he changed, or because his circumstances changed?

he's built his own footballing empire across the world, making useful building contacts in the process. he now owns the hotel. he has for many years now managed the white elephant office block in the other corner (anyone remember promises of lucrative rents being used for team building??), hes done very well for himself as chairman of sheffield united in terms of furthering his own interests. the serious financial mismanagement of the club since before relegation is something that no one else can take the blame for im afraid.

i've a nasty feeling he'll turn out to be made of the same cloth as brealey, woolhouse, macdonald , wragg and all of the others we've had in charge
