no he can go to hell.....Would any one fancy him at lane? Surely the rumours are gonna start?!
He was born in Sunderland in 1966 when his dad was managing Hartlepools United. His dad left Boro for Sunderland in 1961. I know Blades last game in 1960-61 was the 4-1 win at home against Boro (LSF's first match) so his last game for Boro could have been that matchNigel was probably about two when the family left Middlesbrough. I very much doubt he'll have much interest in commuting or moving up there. I also doubt that he'll be top of Boro's list. Gibson will have already tapped up the successor. Pulis seems to be the early favourite ?
Johnny Metgod, he could strike a ball. Foot like a traction engine!Telegraph seems to be confident that Clough is coming to us (and Johnny Metgod too!)

Clough.
Yawn.
Sacked by Boro, this is a manager who I have suggested before for Blades.
Vastly experienced and played good football in the past, notably at West Brom. I would be far happier with him than Nigel Clough.
I realise that he has not been a roaring success at Boro but every situation is different - and people do learn from past mistakes. Same applies to Clough I suppose.
