Effectively a 6 point game, taking home the 3 points while Sunderland get nothing puts a nice buffer between us as we work up to Christmas.

Still a long way to go but that could end up being the defining moment of our season!

The point at Coventry with 10 men was big too.

If Wilder is given the opportunity to take us forward in January, we have a huge opportunity.

The Souttar sending off worked in our favour. 10v11 is a very different game for the away team and they’d like have defended more.

They kept things very attacking and gave us a proper game.

Did we deserve all 3 points: No, had that ended 0-0 it would have been a good point for us.

But tonights game shows why Sunderland have dropped off slightly and had five straight draws, they can't take their chances, especially that LW (40) who was so wasteful when he got through on goal.

Two good teams giving it a good go, we managed to find that extra bit of quality to win the game and had the nous to see it out, plus some good fortune with the penalty (although it was a great save).

As you say these are the moments seasons get decided on.

Most important three points were earned at Preston in the opening game.

It wiped out the -2 points start and got us up and running before anyone else, other than Preston, had kicked a ball.

Had we lost that one the whole course of the season could have been different.

Is still to come!!
Hopefully Wilder is backed in Jan, we really need to go for it now👊

Dropped off slightly, their 3 wins in the last ten games have been against Oxford Luton and Hull!
Look where those teams are in the league.
They stayed top for most of that last run, including most of their draws, it wasn't until Leeds won last Sunday that they finally dropped off 1st place

Considering how much they celebrated not getting battered, I can't begin to imagine the hysteria if they managed to sneak a point against their bigger and better rivals.
Their only joy is to see us fail.

If they'd got a point from us , it wouldn't be their point but the fact that they prevented us from having 2 , which constituted their success.

If it was last night, that makes coopers save the biggest moment so far. If that goes in, completely different game.

Beating Leeds,Boro, Burnley and WBA and winning a few away games would help. If you consider Sunderland as defining our season, we are not there yet!
Just saying. Hopefully more to come from Blades this season?

They’ll be multiple of these moments still to come too. We’ve had a few already. The opening day and setting the tone, Bristol City away is one of those wins you get from nowhere that you need to go up and Friday night is one of those hard fought, dramatic wins against another promotion contender.

They’ll be a few more similar games for sure and I’m also sure they’ll be a few that don’t go in our favour too!
