He did when on loan to Preston, although I think it was the reserves

He played for Man Utd reserves against United before he mafr the first team (someone once wrote an article about it in FB), but I am pretty sure he never palyed for Preston reserves against us.

Thought Becks played against us early 90's when they whooped us 3-0 at home midweek.

He did indeed, with a few others who've gone on to have impressive careers.

Did you hear that twat Waddle?? "Beckham isn't even in the top 1000 premiership players"

What a complete moron.. Waddle was a fantastic player, I mean unbelievable. Beckham got almost twice as many England caps..

Chris, You carry on playing golf at Beauchief along with us lot that have amounted to nothing in life whilst Beckham lives the life of a crap retired footballer.

So Beckham has a place in the most well known English X1 to have never played against the Blades at 1st team level

Would Gary Bailey be the most well known keeper never to have played against the Blades? Yes, he was born in South Africa but he was qualified to play for England (his dad was the Ipswich keeper when they won the league in 1962)

Sad thing about Waddle is he should be well placed to comment. Glorious player in his day and could cut it abroad as well as at home. Becks did exactly the same. Thing is Beckham could take a better penalty :)

Silent..just as an aside.. Went to Manchester Uni, way back (1983/6). One of my Uni mates was, and I guess still is ! Gary Bailey's cousin . And so we went to OT a couple of times. You could just rock up and pay on the day then..Only remember us playing Man City during my time in Manchester. Typically not during term time. Think we lost 2.0, and Don Peattie springs to mind..So to summise, my Uni mate is Gary Bailey's cousin, and looks like a female equivalent of him to boot ..and other clubs in Manchester have moved on a bit better than us...UTB

I sat next to Gary Bailey at Anfield once v Ipswich ,United were postponed at somewhere so we went ,Arnold Muhren and Jesper Olsen were there too. Rush or Dalglish scored and it was a different level of football than i have ever seen at the Lane.Just saying :)

I think my dad used to work with his dad in the oil industry.

He worked with Gary Stevens' dad too and I remember him getting me his autograph and being dead excited!

Yes, we lost 2-0 at Man City in April 1985. Don Peattie played a handful of games for us that season but I do not recall seeing him play (I was a Lane part-timer at the time). When you recall a player that hasnt played many games for us it is easier to remember a match that he played in. For example I remember Nat Peel coming on as sub in the 1-0 win at Spurs in Nov 1991 and that was his only 1st team appearance for us
