Tudor' goal against Wednesday to make it 3-2 wasn't bad and neither was Gil Reece's flying header against Cardiff in the 5-1 win which promoted us in 1971?

Ahh the memories. So many.

Silent Blade,

Thank you very much for your chronology. It helps an old man whose brain cells are diminishing by the day to bring memories to life. It is much appreciated.

Beating Don Revie's Leeds United 1-0 at Bramall Lane in the League Cup (or whatever it was called then).

My 21st birthday.
Yes it was a great night. There were a few Wendy players (Sam Ellis and Colin Prophett were two of them) sat behind me in the old JSS. The Blades attacked from the 1st minute (Tudor had a shot that hit the woodwork) and were unlucky not to be at least 3 up at the break. Revie instructed Terry Cooper to mark Woody tight and forget about trying to do attacking overlaps because he feared Woody. On the hour TC had the ball in the centre and, with Woody dragging his markers away to the right, TC exploited the space to make his solo run before firing his low shot past Sprake for a memorable goal. After the game, Revie heaped praise onto the Blades insisting that it was no fluke that we won

The final whistle for Blades 1-0 Arsenal. FA Cup in '95 I think.

Not only the fact we beat a great team*, but it was the first time I'd ever seen United play pure passing football (I grew up under Bassett).

We mullered them left right and centre. :)

My birthday. As in, the day I was born.

Another vote from me for Filbert Street, May 5th 1990. When the 4th goal went in, I'm sure I came!
