i quite like Forte.. which firmly puts me in the minority.. Porter has showed that one 6 inch tap in can make you a hero overnight.. our fans are very fickle

Fickle? - Like in celebrating our only goal for ages? (besides the flukey deflection at Tranny)
Wouldn't give a toss if it went in off his cock - at least he was there to score the fucker.
No point in playing a blinder (which none of em are) without the finish.
The players are being derided cos they are all firing blanks - no real surprise there.

Can't believe the numver of people advocation Robson to play in midfield....get Whitehouse in there

Is he fit? If so, yes pick him over Robson, I didn't realise he was back to fitness again. Looks like Chappell could be involved too, perhaps given he has had a continuous run of games down in Torquay we should start him over Flynn so he carries on the momentum? Morgs really does have some tough choices to make!

As a slight aside, we are 13/8 to win tomorrow. Given that Swindon are not exactly in great form either, god knows we're due a performance and we have the new 'manager' syndrome with us, this looks like a cracking bet to me.

Get Harriot back from loan as well. I always thought he was a tidy midfielder and he cannot play worse than Doyle on Tuesday night.

I'd play Westlake at RB and Hill at LB and tell them to push on and support the wingers. Flynn out right and McFeazden out left. Porter up top with Murphy. The latter is hopeless, but he has pace. Porter will win a lot in the air and someone needs to get onto his flicks. Murphy is a better option for me. He is a headless chicken, with zero composure, but he has some anticipation. He'll make runs and try to get on the end of stuff. Unlike the hapless Forte who is not interested, nesh and does not anticipate things. Several times Kitson won headers on Tuesday, but Forte was day dreaming, behind his man or simply neshed a challenge.

It's difficult for Morgs. Wilson would have had the right to drop all senior players and bring in Westlake, McFeazden, Ironside etc. However Morgan will probabkly be looking for a fresh start and a response from the experienced players. I expect he'll have said to them, train hard and you'll get a chance. He'll probably make a judgement on attitude, ability and hard work at training this week and go with that.

Murphy and Porter up top is a must. It has been for ages in my mind. Kitson is a waste of space.

It's so difficult. Who has upped their game in the last couple of training sessions to persuade Morgs to pick them ?

From what we've been watching it's easy to leave loads of them out.

I'm thinking he won't rock the boat too much but ask the starting line up to start quickly. Oh for an early goal.

Long
McMahon Maguire Collins Hill
Murphy McDonald Doyle McFadzean
Kitson Forte

Subs: Coyne, Higginbotham, Robson, Flynn, Porter, Ironside, Kennedy/Westlake

However, he may well start Flynn instead of McFadzean and that would look like a standard Wilson side.

Two out of Murphy, McDonald and Forte (I know) need to have stormers

The point is that several players must significantly up their game or we're doomed. There aren't many game changers on the subs bench either.

Where's my optimism suddenly gone ?

I would personally drop McDonald not Doyle. Doyle is doing his job breaking up play. McDonald is the one not playing in Strikers and wingers.

I'd go like a diamond (champ manager style haha)

Long

McMahon Maguire Collins Hill

Doyle

Flynn Robson Forte

Murphy Kitson/Porter/Ironside

I think Forte will be better out wide with his pace and Murphy scored loads up north when playing CF.

Would be inclined to bring McDonald on at 60mins once he's suitably sorry for how wank he's been

Don't really understand the calls for Whitehouse... Only time I've seen him was at Donny and I saw nothing to convince me he was our midfield saviour.

I'd Like to see this:
Long
Mcmahon/Westlake Maguire Collins Hill

Flynn Whitehouse Kmac Mcfadzean

Porter Murphy

Subs: Coyne, Kennedy/Westlake, Ironside, Kitson, Chapell/Forte, Robson, Doyle

Can't imagine McDonald would be dropped, but at least it would avoid him getting a two match suspension.
