So McCabe gets rid of Danny 'cos of his garbage home record. At the time I thought careful what you wish for, we'll now not win away. And yep that's exactly what's happening.

However, the Morgs strategic genius comes into play. We now after saturday are likely to face Brentford or Donny, or heaven forebid if we win, Yeovil. Now Yeovil and Brentford have beaten us, so let's lose to Crewe and make sure we finish below Swindon on GD. They are not likely to lose on saturday but just in case they do, we'll lose to Preston because we don't want Yeovil. Hoping for a Brentford win at Donny so we get them in the semi-final, go through on penalties and Yeovil or Swindon in the final.

Good call? Or are the players just rubbish and Morgs is going ape shit in the dressing room?

I suppose the other side is that after Portsmouth, the last two games are pointless (literally) so rest the players and the ones that play shouldn't push it... Because they have 2 possibly 3 big games coming up.

The one big thing is that we've done ok against the top 6 sides during the season, I don't think we've lost against any of them whilst they have been in the top 6 at the time, correct me if I'm wrong.

The big thing will obviously be whether we can pull off a performance and result like Swindon or we suffer a Yeovil.

Im not sure it matters if they were in the top 6 at the time, if anything its worse now as they have shown they are consistent.

Brentford 2 - 0 Blades
Blades 2 - 2 Brentford
Blades 0 - 0 Donny
Donny 2 - 2 Blades
Yeovil 0 - 1 Blades
Blades 0 - 2 Yeovil
Swindon 0 - 0 Blades
Blades 2 - 0 Swindon

Left Bournemouth as we cant play them again.

Won 2
Lost 2
Drawn 4

I think it does matter because the games against top 6 teams are more edgy and perhaps replicate one off games more accurately than a game against a mid table side which we have been known to underestimate.

Look at the likes of tranmere too...

Can't believe the faith some people have in this shower of crap. Managed by a novice. As if we are good enough to awitch the class and style on and off for matches. I can promise every single one of you that we are being beaten because we arent good enough and McCabe has now managed to sack the only bloke who was actually keeping the shite playing at all.

I wonder if Wilson has actually stopped lauging since he left? People go on about him being a pig but its our own Chairman who is jerrymandering it so we dont get promoted. Do you ever wonder if its McCabe who stood on the kop at Hillsborough as a boy?

A fair point well made. Think we're doomed regardless.

lets face it , last night was going to be end of season fare now, their keeper was the busiest bloke on the pitch so we are creating chances so lets hope converting them is being held back for the 3 games that matter

forte though , waste of space, banjo and cows arse springs to mind

Well I think it is pretty dangerous not giving things a go. That is only 4 times in 8 games we have scored a goal and away from home won 1 in 5 matches. Pretty pants. I bet the other teams can't wait to play us.

We have never finished 4th in the league whilst the play offs have been in place and when we finished 6th we got knocked out by Sunderland.

So the prediction is finishing 6th, save your money and go on holiday, anything else we might get to Wembley again if you can stand it!

One for Darren, what is the success rate record of any play off finalist teams that have got to the final in their second successive year?

There's no master plan, there's no plan B, we are all going to hell in a hand-cart.....

We beat Bournemouth twice as we'll, so our results against the top six are very encouraging.
If we're looking for positives this is a huge one.
You can bet a lot would be made of this if our record was poor, like last season.

At the end of the day we have three games to face if we are sucessful.

Don't expect too much against Preston. Crewe was what I expected.

It's after Preston our season starts again. Then we will know if the last two league games were tackled right.

DW still made mistakes on the transfer front but does anyone seriously believe we would have lost at both Portsmouth and Crewe it he would have been in charge? The problem was,we may not have got 4 points from the previous 2 home games

They weren't
Teams that sneak into the play offs towards the end of a season are full of confidence and that shows in their performances in the play off semis. Those teams that drift into it get what they deserve. The low morale and lack of confidence coupled with the lack of any pace at all and very little quality is a recipe we all recognise and instinctively know what will transpire.

Shit or bust? I'm afraid it's both!

I wouldn't argue he wasn't doing well. But firing him with 5 games to go is another tactical masterstroke from McCabe that probably cost us a decent shot at going up. You don't replace what you have with someone worse do you? Morgan (I have no axe to grind with the bloke) isn't an experienced manager and Wilson is. When you combine this with selling Blackman and giving Quinn away you have to wonder if McCabe has some sort of fetish where self destruction gives him a hard on.
