Would Defeat end our Automatic chances or at least put a big hole in them ?

I know defeat won't really end or Automatic chances, but with Norwich not looking like dropping any points, and Leeds performance on Friday which was very impressive (i am hoping it was part down to WBA being very poor) but at the very least it will make Leeds confidence sky high.
I know there will still be some twists and turns, but Norwich don't look like dropping many points between now and the end of the season especially with possibly the easier run in.

Just wish we wasn't playing them Scrubbers next, the thought of them bouncing with joy if their expensive flops actually decide to turn it on doesn't bare thinking about.

Having Wilder as manager means I feel as calm as I could be before the match. Doesn’t mean we can’t lose the game but you know he will have done everything to prepare them properly. Also whatever the result he will react to it appropriately and get the right reaction for Saturday’s game. Feels like it did when Bassett was manager.

Losing to the pigs will not define our season as they claim. We will have another 33 points to play for and our game against Leeds COULD be season defining.

I could understand the pig logic if it was the last game of the season and we needed to beat them to go up. They are so desperate to have a meaningful reason and significance for this season that it's pathetic.

It must be killing them now that they have been overtaken in the city so quickly and so easily by their better rivals.

Maybe you are right and i get the fact Wilder will have us well drilled.
I hate playing them normally but this time it feels 10 times worse.
They have a free hit tomorrow, lose and well nobody expected them to beat the 3rd in the league, and Brucie can now start building for next season. Win and the play offs are on, and what would that do for our confidence.
I just seems we get to within the touching distance of the Top Two and then we have a set back, so we end up playing catch up again, only the games are running out.

Next four games will go a long way to define the season; their importance individually, as a group and in their interaction with the other two teams.

Us: Wednesday, Rotherham, Brentford & Leeds
Norwich: Swansea, Hull, Rotherham & Boro
Leeds: Bristol, Reading, Us & Millwall

Losing to Wednesday on their own wouldn't be a catastrophe in the wider scheme of things, but coupled with anything other than a win against Rotherham and Brentford and anything but a draw/win at Leeds and it would make things difficult for us. At this stage of the season, all games are must win, but if we beat Wednesday, Rotherham & Brentford we can afford a draw against Leeds. Leeds is the big one. We don't want to be something like 9 or 12 points adrift of 2nd with 8 games to play.

90 points is likely to be enough for second, 92 points almost certain.

At present we can get 100, so we should have 8-10 points to drop and still come second.

Every point that we lose makes the target more difficult.

Losing points to Leeds is doubly bad, as it increases their total and reduces our potential total - so that is our only remaining game that is mathematically more important than the rest.

I always forget the table and think of points and games left to get 90 - so currently we need 26 points from 12 games. On Tuesday morning we will need between 23 and 26 points from 11 games.

Psychologically, I would prefer to need to win the last couple of games, rather than draw them - as we’re not good at holding on and it doesn’t feel as bad if you don’t succeed.

So, we can drop 10 points in the next 12 games and the Bell End Road game is the only one that is more important than the rest.

So relax, Monday is just another game and nothing rests on it - other than 6 months sanity!!!

Of course, the great thing is that our manager still wants 100 points- and he’s driven us there before.

I genuinely believe that we're doing something really special here and that wilder will get us up and turn us in to a top 12 premier league side. this isn't delusion or any thing along those lines it's that wilder and knill can turn water in to wine and it has a similar feel to what clough and Taylor did all those years ago , the top 5 or 6 teams in England are out of reach I don't feel the rest are . Why should we or any other team without a bit momentum behind them not be able to catch the likes of Watford Bournemouth Burnley. I'm rambling a bit of shit here but my point is I think we're doing something special at the minute so If I'm right why wouldn't we go there tomorrow and turn these fuckers over .its a win for me

I understand your reasoning - but we can only influence what we do - this weekends results for Norwich and Leeds were probably "form" games that both expected to win. We should have a form game tomorrow. If Wednesday turn up tomorrow, they might win - if we turn up tomorrow - we WILL win. That's what form does, but who knows with football. The QPR game in midweek should be seen as a bonus and I am sure Leeds and Norwich are looking at their own bonus tomorrow night.

We've just got to turn up - like we did v WBA.

Leeds have enough difficult games, just like we do and defeat tomorrow still leaves plenty of games. In the past 10 games,we've stepped up to the plate (IMO) - we've just got to keep doing it.

I think you’re wrong with this Broomhall, in that it could be a season defining loss for them in that they do think the playoffs are on, so rather than them ruining our season (according to some) the best way to look at it is they have more to lose than us as worst case scenario we will still make the playoffs and they’d still be in mid table mediocrity

We will go to win, just like we did at 4th placed West Brom and against 5th placed Middlesboro and just like we did against bottom half Reading.

Yes they are our rivals and they are 14th. I'm sure we'll approach it in the same level of professionalism as the games against those far superior sides which we beat earlier in the month.

personally I think we've played really great when we've been under pressure recently, and with Norwich having an easier run in could actually work in our favour because every game they play they will be expected to win and it will be a no pressure game for their opponents, and recently Leeds have been under par will one excellent win change that for the rest of the season ? Possibly or possibly not, were still in this and we still will be on Tuesday
