Managment given go ahead for a couple in this week!!

Excuse me if I dont burst with excitement. After seeing countless players in on loan who have made no difference to results whatsoever, I dont hold out much hope for an improvement now.

The true problems are too deep rooted to simply overcome by bringing other clubs' reserves in.

Just what I was thinking. But I suppose you have to applaud the effort. Surely one will come off?

Whoever comes in it, they will be:

a)unused in their current squad, and not match-fit
B) A Free agent, hence likely to be:
i)Not match fit
and/or
ii) Crap.

I'd just like to see a few players with some pace - if for no other reason than to confirm the Adams does put some importance on it.

Yes in fairness they are at least showing a willingness to solve problems and to spend a bit of extra money but its all too little too late IMO. We should have invested decent money in proper players in January to make us stronger. Instead we brought in mostly loan players who have little if any commitment to the club long term and are well short of first team games.

Inevitably we are now left desperately scrambling around in our own feces for something to clean the mess up with. The opportunity was there and it has been missed.....as per usual. For those that dont like those comments - call it moaning, call it negativity, call it what you like.....it doesnt mean it isnt true.

If one does come off alco, I will be the first to post on here admitting that you kept the faith when I didnt so I hope you're right. I used to be a glass half full guy when it came to the Blades, they've knocked that out of me now.

I don't know where you get the impression I've kept the faith?

I've already plotted out next years away trips, and they don't include the same grounds as this year...:D

You've more faith than me at the moment. I'm planning away trips for the year after and they're all different again :D

Having seen us live last week I've sadly lost all faith that we can escape from this. There's only one person who could get us out of this but I'm pretty sure Glyn Hodges is a bit too old.

Sadly, this clapper has lost his faith.

The mind boggles. I wonder if Adams or the players can remember everyone's names.

I'm not sure anything's going to work but at least we know Tonge can control and pass a football.
He might actually care which is something we could do with more of at the moment.

A goalie and two strikers from Beighton Magpies so i'm told.... mind yer money might be a stumbling block !

We need someone new in net and on the wings.

Although finding someone with a bit of quality this late in the season really is too little too late. We knew what we needed in january and true we do seem a tad stronger in defence BUT we have gone back to how we were when Morgan was fit. The defence is once again hanging on and we are doing nothing going forward.

Anyone we get now will be the bottom of the barrel injury prone crap.
