It would be a disaster to let him go, he is just what we will need in the Championship, and £1.4m, what a joke fee this is?

Full U-turn from TA, keep him - his form this season puts him in the £2-3m bracket at least.

Hahaha as if. :D

Come on, not having ago at monty but Villa can do far far far far better than him.

Monty will be here next season.

I hope he is here next year because we will need him i think!! hes a better player than leigertwood in my opinion so we would have no one to kill he opposition players.
Of all the players weve got i never imagined it would be monty that would the first to be linked somewhere.

Thats true.

Wonder if they want legs of wood aswell for £1.4mil. :)

i think monty should stop because he'll be good in the championship and we need someone to be snapping at oppositions legs, i think leigertwood is a decent player though in the cahmpionship aswell

Leigertwood on current evidence would struggle at Forum Footy stopping Silverfox. Not that I've seen SF play, but Leggy would struggle man-marking Steven Hawking.

Best place for Legsofwood is wednesday and even they may no be daft enough to take him.

I don't see problem so far with Leigertwood, perhaps we haven't seen enough of him?

When the team you sign him from starts laughing coz uve signed him it isnt a good thing. I wouldnt be upset to see him go at all id rather he go than Monty thats for sure.

Wednesday laughed at us when we signed geary bromby and quinn..... whats your point?

i quite like leigertwood. I don't think he's played a really poor game in a united shirt.

People who are wanting Monty to go should remember ONE thing.

During the start of the 2005/2006 season he was a revelation, he had initially been placed on the transfer list though by Warnock and Lilian Nalis was set to be a regular started in midfield. Nalis got tonsilitis against QPR, Monty came in against Preston and got totally stuck in in midfield winning tackles and getting the ball back constantly. He never lost form until about the start of the New Year when the hectic Christmas period took a lot out of everyone and Tonge had been working hard in training and forced his way back into the side. Monty's finest moment came against Stoke on New Years eve when he opened the scoring with what may seem a scrappy goal, but was absolutely crucial.

Our time in the Premiership will have no doubt help develop Monty even more by going up against the best, and Monty's ability to win the ball back will be crucial in the charge to get us back up. Will he be able to? Only time will tell, but I am confident he will.

he may put his all in but he aint good enough if we are looking to go back up to the premiership we should be looking at better players to fill his role
