It has become almost fashionable to refer to certain players of ours, past or present, in a derogatory way.

My point is that Monty appears to be doing a good job, albeit at a standard somewhere between our Championship and L1 level.

Something a LOT of our fans have great difficulty in coming to terms with.

The A League is improving rapidly year on year, and is actually League One standard minimum now. David Carney played for the national side a few years ago, not now. Monty is doing well, give him a break.

The question you should be asking "why couldn't Monty do it for united whilst being paid vast amounts of money from us" My only problem with Monty is that he couldn't pass yet called himself a professional footballer and was happy to take the clubs money every week.
