Well you certainly had the hang of it with your ridiculously negative views on the Watford game.

And yes, you reading too much into the stuff about our Malaysian friends. I just find it highly amusing, which is what we are after isn't it?

Hello mic :hello:

"Ridiculously" negative? Not sure about that mucker. Negative views yes and I admitted as much whilst also saying that I had taken a broader view once the dust had settled. The comments I made about that particular game were justified and realistic IMO. We were poor on the day and nothing will change my opinion on that.....

What I dont do is persist with some sort of bizarre agenda to discredit the club, its hierarchy and supporters (that form reasoned opinions on this forum) with inane comments about the property market and a manager that is no longer with the club. That is negativity for the sake of being negative. My comments were on topic and were backed up with justification - whether it be right or wrong.

I'm glad you find this whole malaysian investor thing amusing. Lets face it, with the core of repetitive negativity that exists on here its not like there are many sources of amusement so whatever you can find that floats your boat!

Might I suggest.....for hours of hilarity and negativity, you might enjoy one of the piggy forums? Perhaps take in a game there to really revel in misery (if you dont already) ;)

Now now SCB he cannot even answer Mickerz question about investment and ownership, How dare you suggest he gets involved in piggy finance? his head will explode.

It's two bottles now is it. ;) fair enough

Don't know what Len is getting at? If it is that I said months ago that we were looking at investment landing around Christmas, yes I did.
I don't claim that everything I think will happen does and I'm quite happy to buy Raul these bottles and a pint if I'm wrong. Its just a bit of fun FFS.

Do you stick with Christmas but change the year?

Yep, ridiculously negative. Totally OTT. The game wasn't as bad as you made out or maybe you missed the Blackwell reign and we worked their keeper a few times and put a number of dangerous balls in which were well defended. I believe you totally ignored this in your initial review of the game, for which I would have got lambasted by your good self if you had read and been arsed to reply.

Also, this trend of basically saying we don't support SUFC, get on a Weds forum is utterly pathetic - as is the on topic and off topic statements. Inane comments? Am I wrong to speculate that McCabe's property strategy has not worked for SUFC? I donlt make any serious accusations that would get me in trouble because there is nowt to go at anyway, obviously - it's just the recession - simple as that but it has buggered SUFC for the forseeable future imo. Incidentally I think the Valad share price, the property market and related stuff is very much on topic if the topic is SUFC. I also haven't called Blackwell an obnoxious p**** for ages, so you're making that up as well.

.....the pot said to the kettle. Thats your opinion, fair enough.

What did I ignore? There wasn't anything to ignore because nothing happened in the final third. Apart from the Bogdanovic header, name a reasonable chance that we created in the 90 mins. My assessment was fair IMO, some agreed and some didnt. That was my take on the game and for you to call someone overly negative is laughable as I'm sure the majority will agree.

Also, this trend of basically saying we don't support SUFC, get on a Weds forum is utterly pathetic - as is the on topic and off topic statements. Inane comments?

One can protest too much :)

Its just a suggestion mic. I'm aware that I could be way off the mark but it makes you wonder sometimes. Yes, "inane comments" - basically empty statements that dont mean anything to anyone else. Like going on and on about the property market and Blades realty when the vast majority dont respond to them and arent remotely interested in anything that doesnt concern the team. Its football to most of us mic, I leave the business to the directors.

Incidentally I think the Valad share price, the property market and related stuff is very much on topic if the topic is SUFC. I also haven't called Blackwell an obnoxious p**** for ages, so you're making that up as well.

Ok sorry its not off-topic. Since you've been dragging it out for months on end I suppose it keeps it current.....my mistake.

I'm making it up? I seem to remember a fairly recent thread directing abuse at him, which was posted by a certain someone. Dont worry mic he's gone, he cant "hurt" us anymore.

Steel I was pointing out the mismatch between your genuinely miserable post about the Watford game and your earlier inane and scarcastic post on this string about putting a downer on everything. Obviously, I am more negative about SUFC than you, I aint arguing about that.

Cresswell's header in first half was a reasonable chance, as was Jordan's from that good corner. Yeates worked a good shot for himself and it was a half decent save, nowt special. It was far more lively a match imo than PNE and Pompey.

If you cannot contemplate a link between the property market and the general ineptitude on show in red and white at present I will continue, as ever, to enlighten you.

We'll agree to disagree on the Watford game I think.

This is the bit you're not getting mic. The majority dont wish to be "enlightened" on the subject and certainly not in the condescending way you insist upon. Most of us are simply football fans mic and realise that the business side is totally out of our control. I for one choose not to wax lyrical about it because it doesnt interest me.

Call me ignorant if you like but I support SUFC to follow my team (whether they are good, bad or indifferent). Other issues do not concern me and I dont understand them as well as you seem to mainly because I dont take a keen interest in that side of things. Some do some dont, but hammering home the same points by touching on issues that leave people numb is what I described earlier as "inane" - i.e. empty and meaningless to most. Some dont even have a clue what you're talking about!

I introduced the Malaysian story because I believe it is relevant. I take no pleasure in the story and was as hopeful as the next Blade, but we cannot bury our heads in the sand and pretend that there is not some doubt about this investor. The story, which originated from a Blade in Malaysia I understand, does have a ring of truth...but I would be happy to be proved wrong. As this is in the public domain would we not expect some response from the club. If it is not this man it would be simple for them to say so. I get the impression that there are some on here who would accept cash from anyone and maybe shut their eyes to improper behavior. If it is this guy then it looks unlikely he will two pennies to scratch his arse with let alone invest in us

That rumour is in the rumour section it mentions that it was from an unclean in Malaysia, which should be taken with a pinch of salt.

It is relevant, but the whole investment thing is fraught with problems as out neighbours in S6 have found. The world is full of chancers and bullshitters, and its not always that easy to spot them.

Anyway, this guy is still shown in the rich lists of Malaysia, and the bankruptcy news is a post from some piggie claiming to be from Malaysia with 'new' info. It isn't. I saw the story a month back, and commented on it at the time. It suggests that Vinod Sekhar was made bankrupt in 2005. You can find this out over Google in 2mins, so why would Birchy not know this, if this is infact the guy and the money is supposed to be coming from him. But then Sekhar held further directorships which would be against the law. But confusingly two years after allegedly being made bankrupt, he was being touted by Forbes as having $200m in wealth.

What this thread is showing is that we are every bit as capable as the piggies to have the investment shitstorm threads I have enjoyed over the last three or four years. We go there at our own peril...

The world is full of chancers and bullshitters, and its not always that easy to spot them.

It is easy, they usually TALK about ambition and its the things they don't say that mean more than the things they do say !
Now who do i know that fits that bill ?

and on a serious note what nutter would think about INVESTING in football ?

Can you just clarify for me which we are ?
Are we 7th 9th 12th ?
Just wondering like.

What a truly pathetic post Alien.

I think we are between 7 and 9th but def in top 12. Boo said well below most in the division which means bottom 12 and comfortably so, I totally disagree with that.

Comprendez?

What do you think or are you more interested in your snide type of weak, boring, smart-arse and generally shite posts.

Pot calling the kettle black. Your obnoxious "personality" is the principle reason that I very rarely bother posting on here any more. I bet you're a reyt bundle of laughs on a night out.

That's a bit rich coming from someone who basically called me a wanker the other week but there you go.

Give it a few months and you, Ollesandro, Lenners and all the rest of your cronies will be able to slag off the Blades until your hearts content, as all the more sensible, interesting posters will have sacked this forum off.

I am delighted with Speed, right behind him although he as a near impossible task, I had a great day out in Leeds amongst truly great support and said so on here (albeit with a slight hitch at the end of that day) and I thought the Watford game was mildly entertaining inspite of some wrist slashing from various eminent posters on here.

You've got it wrong Brownie - Blackwell has gone and I am enjoying going to BDTBL again. Huge problems with McCabe but so what.

Thanks for all you who tryed to tie people down. It just goes to prove that its no use discussing financial matters on here as no one is willing to actually put there name against anything they are willing to call the full facts. Therefore any finacial info on here is pure speculation or hearsay. take for example the supposed 50 million debt. when actually broke down we are only 2.8 million in debt. If you wish to prove me wrong please give a full breakdown.
As i said at the start of the post our wage bill is less than most and below halfway of rest of the teams in this division.

No chance Nick. Been trying to tie him down but when it comes to hard questions he just ignors the post.

Tie me down to what? I think our wage bill is in top half, you don't. Fair enough. I spend a fair bit of time on here but don't hang around in the off chance that you are the great Jansky ask me a question. When asked I try and answer when I read it. I cannot see any questions you ahve posed that I have ignored? Where are they? All I know about Realty is what I have posted, debts outweigh assets and sufc plc owned 50% of em as at Feb 2009. HUge bank debt, no idea what interest or repayment terms are and have never said or claimed I do. I totally understand that the debts are supported by assets but the assets ae not doing very well at the moment imo. That to me is a very straightforward and I have consistently said very similar to this. I believe McCabe has sold players to help cash flow in his/our property vehicles but have stressed that there is no problem with this, up to him - just doesn't help sell season tickest etc if you couple that with Blackwell style football.

In terms of an alternative, I'd like McCabe to take full control of the property links and leave SUFC as a separate company where wages are no more than 60% of turnover. Tell the fans that is the case and if we go down so be it. SImple honesty, decent management and a bit of pace and athleticism on the pitch. All pretty easy really. No expectations of Premier League, no big money spent.

No idea what you are on about. When has anyonme claimed to have full facts? Well aware it is all speculation but we can speculate on here. Do you hionestly think Simmo, Monty, Nos, Hendo are on low Championship wages? I don't.

Totally agree about debts less assets but the fact is we owe £50m and it is very difficult to say that the assets are worth £47.2m with as much certainty. Of course teh auditor has to be satisfied with the values but this problem is why I think Realty accounts were late. My opinion, could be wrong but there you go.

I am convinced that without the property/interest costs and foreign costs we would have a better squad now. If McCabne wants to make more wedge out of a hotel etc post Valad, let him do it and reap the rewards if they come, I just wish he had left SUFC out of it.

I never said people claimed to have the full facts. What i said is below.

Now the bits in Bold just go to show how you confuse people (Quoting fact for one bit then basing opinion on that supposed fact)?

2.8million is what we owe. unless you can prove otherwise?

Clint, keeping it simple, when the hotel cost around £20m in itself, how do you possibly arrive at us owing £2.8m?

Isn't the Hotel a debt that is serviced by Copthorne as part of their contract with United so even though it is a debt it is more like a mortgage being payed off by a lodger?

You think Copthorne are signed up for the duration of the loan we need to pay off and are covering all that loan?

Maybe they are maybe they aren't. I don't know I don't work for United.
If you know better then answer the question I put with an answer rather than another question. :D
