Much rather Webber had gone really. Stead not had a chance really, think he could have been decent for us.
I reckon Stead would have partnered Henderson really well, just like when he and hulse played in the prem, they were incredible.
I reckon that now Stead has gone, we need to bring a fresh striker in who will add a bit of pace to the squad.

Agreed, Blackie obviously does not fancy Steady as he has been available throughout his entire tenure and has hardly featured.
For the record i think that Stead is the 2nd best striker that we have but there is no point keeping him at the club when he can't even make the bench when everyone is fit.
He is too good to be sat on the bench anyway, i dare say he will do a good job for ispwich and is a much better all round player then the cart horse they have just let go to palace.

I would have much prefered to see the one trick show pony shown the door but Stead does not have as much pace and he is'nt strong enough to be a target man. Maybe it's for the best.
