Missed out again. The number of times we’ve failed to get players we’ve shown absolutely no interest in, just fills me mad with rage...
That’s all well and good and I agree with the cynicism but I’d love to know why we aren’t interested in these sorts of players who would cost relatively next to fuckall in this day and age? He is comfortably worth the £1.5m he’s reportedly going for, we would more or less get that back even if he proved to be a failure.

Do we need a reason other than our manager didn’t want him?

If a manger had to give a reason every time we didn’t go for a player that some fans thought would be a good signing it’d be a full time job.

It was more a statement than a question as I don’t expect Wilder to come out and tell me. :)

Instead of coming out with obvious stuff though why not debate my point about not been interested in a lower league goal machine? Gregory started at a lower league and so did Vardy, they haven’t fared too badly. As I said, it wouldn’t be a gamble at all for the price on offer.

But I never get angst that builds up in some posters in regards to not signing players we were never interested in.

I have no reason to debate SUFC & Mo Eisa because there isn’t any indication we’re in for him. Should we be ever linked I’d not be able to contribute that much because I’ve watched about zero League 2 games over the last year.

And surly my original response was engaging in debate? Apologies if it came across any other way.

Here's why watch the Waghorn goals and assists (16 &11) from last season, then watch the Eisa goals from last season. It's not a small gulf in quality and watching that makes me quite excited that we are at least having a go for Waghorn, in fact this is the first time I've watched one of these compilations and felt happy, really happy. If we pull this off I may just lay a twenty that wewill be champions.

Also watching Waghorn you can see he's unselfish, has an aerial threat, delivers a decent corner and hits a ball well from freekicks. A lot of what is missing with United.

I assume Mo is short for Mohammed, therefore he won't fit into Wilder's drinking culture ;)

Nixon reporting that this move has started to make progress. And from what I'm hearing it sounds as though it may possibly be done before the end of next week but don't hold me to that.

We could do with a younger striker with potential to compliment what we have (a couple of 33 year olds, McGoldrick who's 30?, potentially Waghorn who's 28...) so I could've got on board with this signing.

As it is they obviously weren't too interested, so be it. But I can't think of any other strikers in Leagues One or Two I'd be bothered about signing apart from Eisa and Marriott.

Signed for Bristol City.
