I fully expect CW to engage in some cheeky mind games leading up to our final game. Trying to put all the pressure on us.

What kind of things do you think he might do/say?

Wilder hasn't yet said anything in the mind games side of things to my knowledge. I think we just focus on us and I can see Preston as a tough place to go on the last week, I was pleased they won today to get some form back.

I don't really buy into the mind games stuff that much, but definitely not when it's from a team we don't have to play.

Nothing he says changes anything for us.
Tbf Wilder did do it to Leeds a fair bit the season we went up

No doubt an interviewer will ask Wilder about their playoff chances this week.

He'll probably reply saying that there's no pressure on his team and all the pressure is on Sheffield United.

Nah he will be pissed and reminiscing about his lost youth and away days with his racist mate.

As much as I rate him as a manager and motivator, I don't think he really has mind games in his locker tbh. Certainly not to the level of some other managers anyway.
If he were to try, I doubt anything he said would make any difference now, other than to fire the lads up. That thrashing they handed him at the Lane should have shown him that he isn't the be all and end all of their existence anymore. They are playing heart and soul for a new manager, who (like him) also has experience of getting a team over the line.

We are at home, where we have been largely excellent, in front of a sell out crowd, playing a team that we have already beaten this season, Champions or not. Boro on the other hand have had very patchy away form, and whilst Preston may be on the beach, they may also want to sign off in style in front of their home support.

It could all go tits up of course, but it's in our hands, not his.

Regardless of CW, I think we are in a way better position with Hecky for the push through playoffs.
His mentality suits it better. De-pressurises things really well.
Plus the pressure of expectation isn't there.

By 1445 Saturday it'll be us singing Boros song.

Wilder said..
That the team we had
was dead..
Gibbs white is bursting through,
Ndiaye scores a few....
League one Wes,
Keeping goals from out the net....
Chris wilder he was wrong...
And the bladesmen sing this song...

What can be said?
We need to win (because they will) so the stakes couldn't be higher anyway.
We know it, the players do and so will Hecky. Words or jokes won't add to it.
