I watched the WHU vs Stockport (as I am a Coronation St refugee - not interested). I couldn't help noticing that the referee, Mike Dean had a "bulge" under both armpits. Now I'm no expert in "tailored" fit or orthopaedics but that looked suspiciously like a corset being worn & then I saw a less that natural upright posture. My own experience with back pain is fairly extensive & I have to say that refereeing a professional football match is not the recommended exercise. This may seem trivial but it begs the questions - does a "top ranked" official have to declare a fitness problem & if not a back problem is he hiding the beer belly? And more relevantly do these issues impact on his ability to referee Premiership & FA Cup matches? Mike Dean is not my first choice official as I think some decisions affecting Blades games have not been unbiased (towards the more famous teams).
