They bossed that game.
Lundstram was as comfortable on the ball as I've seen him, on a difficult pitch. He had an excellent game and will be very unlucky if he doesn't play on Tuesday.
Fleck, not for the first time this season, was the best player on the pitch. He bossed that second half. He barely gave it away once and they couldn't get near him. He's a joy to watch when he's playing like that.
Evans was decent too, and together they were first to the ball more often than not and didn't give Ipswich a sniff.
They were so much better than their midfield 3 and as a result we had them under control the entire game. They provided what really should have been a winning platform, but we didn't have the cutting edge in the final third.
Wilder wasted a substitution by bringing Wilson on IMO and that messed things up for us. Although if his shot goes in we're praising the substitution... fine margins. We still had the chances to win though - why the fuck Lundstram didn't just shoot I don't know. Brooks was guilty of the same.
It should've really been a solid 2-0 win. It's pleasing to keep a clean sheet away but I see that as 2 points dropped, and the kind of result that will probably cost us.
Agree with all, but the thing is Duffy is THE cutting edge, so it's hard.
