Righto. questions for all those people who all but demanded the sacking of adams.

do any of the current favourites inspire you more than he did? do you think robins, reid or wilson are better managers than adams? will they have more of a youth policy than adams? do you genuinly believe that we were correct to sack him?

i personally think football fans have too much of a "grass is always greener" attitude, and we didnt realise that adams would have done a good job next year, given the opportunity.

Robins does, yes.

will they have more of a youth policy than adams?

Adams, didn't have much of a youth policy until it seemed we were almost certainly down.
Had he chosen this route previously, I think we would have done better and he may still be in a job.

do you genuinly believe that we were correct to sack him?

I genuinely believe that we had good reason to sack him.

That's opinion pal, and there was nothing to suggest he would have done a good job next year.

do any of the current favourites inspire you more than he did? - Hill, Robins, Pemberton

will they have more of a youth policy than adams? - They must do to accept the job

do you genuinly believe that we were correct to sack him? - yes he lost the dressing room from week one by the sounds of it. He alienated himself from squad until it was too later. He inspired nobody. Unfortunantely when you are a manager and you come in and make tough calls on players and formations etc; they have to be matched by results. Unfortunately too little too late and the players lacked faith in him. Unfortunately there is no comeback from that without changing everyone of them. His post match interviews were also very bad.

do you genuinly believe that we were correct to sack him? - 100%

Not an easy question to answer, do I think he is a better manager than the 3 mentioned, yes. Were we right to sack him at that time, more than likely. Would he be a better manager than the three next year, can't tell, if stories are to be beleived and Adam's did not want to blood as many young kids as McCabe wants, and did not like the restricted budget, then more than likely it would not have worked for him. However that is something we will never know.

I'll be reasonably happy if we sign Robins. Any other of the names in the frame and I'll consider we've made a pointless step backwards.

UTB

Adams would have done a fantastic job in the third tier in my opinion. He'd have made it his personal Holy Grail to get the Blades promoted, as he was the one who presided over our relegation. He's have worked 24/7.

His previous record (pre Bramall Lane) speaks for itself too. I'd still have Adams above most of those mentioned.

When you're rubbish you don't get the pick of market. And we are rubbish.

The only reason I favour Wilson is because I know how his teams play. But folk have a point when they say next season is a write-off and fans won't be patient with an ex-Wendyite.

Rubbish? One of the best - if not the best - supported club in the Division with one of the richest owners in the Division. We are not rubbish - McCabe is. What was the point sacking Adams if he has absolutely no intention of paying what it takes to attract a decent manager? The guy seems hell bent on completely fucking us up.

I didn't agree with sacking him either. But whoever comes in has a bunch of very poor, overpaid players, many on long contracts. We also have an owner who, regardless of his wealth, wants out asap. Unless we "invest" in getting shut of these players, and invest again in replacing them, we are indeed a rubbish proposition.

Barring something seismic happening very shortly, I'm writing off next season as year of survival and sales.

The options are rather uninspiring but we were still right to get rid of Adams not just on form but decisions that he made when it was waaay too late in the day to make them. E.g. sending loan players back when they should of gone back as soon as he arrived really. Yes he was dealt a bad hand as manager when he arrived but he still had the transfer window and he had the young players available to try out.

There is no one out there that we can afford that would really please me as manager. It will be someone cheap and it will have to be someone who doesn't mind having fuck all to spend.

FIFTH Bottom Micky. We were fifth with a few points clear and we went on to win 4 games under your stewardship. And don't complain about being told before we were relegated that you might lose your job; it was clear for two months we were down. If you were surprised by having your job under review you're more stupid than we thought. At least you're back to your three phone calls a day now.

Exactly spot on.

We still had half a chance despite how things seemed at the time he took over.
