I always wondered way Warnock of all people never lost patience with someone as nesh as Tonge.

Got to agree with that, couldn't believe we got 2 million for him when he left, he showed flashes of brilliance but was far too inconsistent.

If he's regarded as a step forward, you've got to fear for the future.

On a positive note, it shows how far we're digressed(sp?).

Tonge coming back would be great in a passing side, unfortunately, the Whipping boys'll have another target.

It'll be lets pick on the midfield all over again :mad: :thumbdown: :(

Imagine Tonge, Monty and Quinn starting a game, this place would be a nightmare!
 
Not a rumour just a suggestion.

Would anyone welcome him back? Only problem about him coming back is the fee we might have to pay and his wages.

I'm not bothered either. Think we should stop reverting to the past all the time. Get some young and maybe unproven blood in and build a team around that.

Tonge...no. Freeman, might be worth a gamble, buti think we're a bit lightweight on the wings as it is, need someone with at least a bit of strength
 
Being sent out on loan (again) by Stoke, Wilson states that Quinn's replacement is imminent. Perhaps it will see Tonge back at the lane? Should be able to do a job at this level but has been woeful for last few seasons whenever I've seen him. Lack of confidence maybe, but worth a punt?
 
were gonna be short in the middle with the bans imminent.suppose he`d be ok.give him a month to prove himself,but i cant honestley say im jumping for joy with this one.
 
Yes please, he's older granted but was never blessed with pace and be a star in a footballing side in League1.
