The 14-goal top scorer has attracted admiring glances from Championship clubs Derby, Sheffield United and Preston in recent weeks.

Stanley confirmed they had also had received a £100,000 bid from League Two rivals Grimsby that was immediately rejected last week.

????????

what to people think ???? would it be just another lower league player that can't take the step up ..... and would not get a look in ?

How old is he? If we could get him for £150000, he couldbe worth the gamble. We certainly need to look to players in the lower league. He might turn out bobbins. He might turn out Jamie Ward like ...

26 year old, 6' 3" tall, ex-Everton trainee who was probably overshadowed by a certain Wayne Rooney????

I remember him when he was at Everton. Was rated as a good prospect. I believe he went out on loan to Bradford at one time (such is my sad knowledge of obscure players). Might be worth a punt on the cheap.

Not sure he would get into our team as we have 5 strikers - 4 of which are currently all getting games in that position. I dont see how KB would be looking for a striker at present but could be wrong.

This lad is off to Preston for £100K. Thats according to the Daily Mail and theyre often not far wrong with transfers.
