Heard a rumour this morning from a mate who's work colleague knows his wife that we have agreed all terms and everything. Just needs to pass his medical and will sign. Do not know much about him but his scoring record looks impressive.

Me as well Coops! Surprised if this one did happen, as I'd have expected him to be going to clubs above our level. Also done well in Holland and thought a couple of clubs might have moved for him there. Still, anybody who did their football schooling under Dario knows how to do things properly.

Also he played at Motherwell, scored pots of goals and played alongside Murphy with good understanding.

Andy Giddings tweeted on July 21st that he was in talks with Chesterfield but his wage demands were "far too high" for them. Coventry and Barnsley are the only other teams linked with him. He'd sound like a great signing.

Confirm all that SEB has said. Just had a brief look at his recent exploits, so not fair to judge the guy, he seems to lack a little pace, but the big plus is he's got a presence about him and looks a very old school, greedy bastard type of forward. Can score with either foot too, so could be a good addition...........

Arrggggh the authority has spoken, let's not waste time talking about him then!

Very good Mr Cooper!

Came from a good source. He's knocked a couple of sides back already in our league.

See what comes of it, would be a decent addition looking at what we've already got in that type of player / position.
 

Will reserve judgement if there is something in this. Seemed like an ok lower league forward when he played in England and did quite well in the SPL but that's not a measure of anything really is it?

No it isn't, all that SPL shite. Makes you wonder why we bothered with Murphy and Scougall knowing they'd be that bad!
 
This rumour may have legs, Michael Higdon could use a new pair he's not the quickest. I reckon he will score goals in this league no problem.
 
Michael Higdon - that would be a spot-on signing and then what with Freeman, Bennett and, we do really need, Coady we'd be really going places.

And, I want to go places.
 
My dad works with a bloke who thinks he is a bit of an inside man when it comes to player rumours. His name is Mick and he has done things around the lane with coaching but I always thought it was more the Junior Blades he was involved in than anything but anyway he always plays billy big bits and when he is talking football you would think he had managed teams to win successive world cups the way he bigs himself up.
Anyway he told my dad about this one yesterday. Reckons the Jose Baxter and Jamie Murphy know the lad supposedly and have had a word in his ear and twisted his arm about what a great club we are and stuff. He too reckons the formalities are tied up and just a medical and stuff to happen before he is unveiled early next week with Freeman and the young lad from derby. Also reckons we are in talks with a championship club to loan a striker until January with the view to extending it afterwards. Apparently clough likes to do this when he wants to properly run the ruling over players.
Like I said I don't know his record or anything and I always think he's full of hot air but my dad says he has told him some stuff that has been right in the past like he told him Kitson was signing as he was friends with Scott McCabe this was apparently way before it was announced. Still I don't know what to believe anyone can read a couple of rumours online and act like they know more than you.

This is what this part of the forum needs more of... An insight, stating exactly what the source is, giving a frank analysis of how reliable the source is.
