Actually the ratio of the lengths of the sides of A series paper are 1 : sqrt2 not 1:2.

The actual dimensions of A3 are 297 mm x 420 mm actually.

Bonus information in case the conversation flags at this point: The A series starts at A0 which has an area of one square metre. Then A1 which has an area of ½ square metre, and so on down to A10.

How could I be so foolish, I’ve been blindsided by noticing the numbers but in the wrong sequence.

42 x 29.7 for A3
29.7 x 21 for A4

Can’t help but notice the massive difference in the two vid clips. Very relaxed and informal with Mark Howard, (Quality podcast btw). Compared to a slightly more reticent character on display in the club welcome video.

He has done all his growing up at Plymouth so far.

He looked less comfortable answering dumb questions from Radio Sheffield.

I hope we don’t expect too much of him too soon, but he does seem a very likeable lad. I hope he turns into the keeper everyone seems to be pinning their hopes on. Good luck to him joining a great club, with very high expectations of him.
