That would be my guess. The usual suspects York / Nick / Jimmy all been posting about him. Guessing there’s an issue which is the hold up.

But would be good to tick off.

Goalkeeper is so important for us Cooper would be a dream signing and set us up for the next 4 years with a good keeper.
 
I like Cooper, but has had 2 big injuries in the last couple of years
That puts me off a bit, although obviously he's a quality keeper 😊

That's what may make him attainable. If he had been injury free, because of the ability he has then he wouldnhave outgrown the Championship imo. Sometime you have to roll the dice to win big and he could quite conceivably be out number 1 for the next half decade plus.

Get him in, bin T-Rex arms, and next season bring in some quality to challenge Cooper for the number 1 spot and move on Davies. I could understand the Davies new contract this summer as we already have so many players to replace so it made sense. But next summer we should strengthen again in the keeper dept. For now though, go and get Cooper (or the lad who was in the sticks at Lincoln last season).

The squad size reduction will/has lowered the wage considerably. However, I don’t think it will release as much funds for transfers as we all expect it to. Our wage bill has to lower considerably due to being a Championship club with much lower revenue streams. Basically we have to cut our cloth to suit

Yes, some room for manoeuvre in the market place, but not what some of us are perhaps expecting

We’ve obviously got parachute payments though which give us more leeway.

They don’t log in to their online banking once fixtures are announced and see “£30m from Premier League” in the money in column. It’s over the course of the season(s). That’s why a loan has been taken out against it. Just like every other club does unless they’re mega rich. So nothing to be worried about 👍

It is normal practice. However, without knowing the amount PA has called forward, then it’s difficult to make a judgement. If he’s taken out a small amount against future para payments then ok. If he’s having to take out the whole two years worth of para payments now, effectively kicking financial issues down the road and because we are in loads of debt, then I would find that concerning
