I’m still thinking it’s Rushworth we’re after despite the Argyle post. Just makes economic sense from a Blades point of view?
economic sense? You mean cheap?
Cooper is probably on the list if the takeover happened quick enough, and Rushforth the other.
With 5 loans available I'm happy with either.
We could still loan a;
Keeper
RB
RCB (even if Anel stays)
RW
DM (if Souza was to go)

Yep cheap.

If true we are on loans, freebies and small fees, I guess Rushworth is the more logical choice. But yeah, Cooper could be on the new owners list. Good point

What is Coopers mooted value?

I dont know what contract he has left but he's refused to sign a new one, and as we know with Bogle that knocks quite a chunk off.
Depends what we can spend from the money we've saved, we haven't sold many but the players we've let go or that's just not re signed have saved us a fortune in wages. That said, we're running on a deficit apparently, so not every penny we bring in will go on replacements.

I'd buy him, he's a long term fix. I'd save the loans for wingers, a right back, a destroyer and a Archer replacement. But, it's not my money 😅

Whoever we can get for cheaper out of him, Rushworth and Patterson id take. They’re all really impressive additions.

What if tekkova gets done and we get an ownership with deep pockets which one(s) would you prioritise?

£4m is the figure being mentioned by the Riflemen of Plymouth .

Not worth a thread on its own but Arsenal are looking to loan Ramsdale. Newcastle are interested as cover for Pope. Not sure Rambo would want to be another No2, wether he’d come back here or if it’s no on wages.

Just sayin, no, decided it’s bollox cause we ain’t got deep pockets, go for cheapest

Rather Cooper to be fair.

Most important position for the season ahead and we can't cobble £3m for a top rated keeper in his last season under contract?

Embarrassing if we fail to get this done.
That’s £3m on top of the rest we’ve already spent this pre season on Moore, Burrows, McCallum and O’Hare, and we still have around a £30m deficit to cover on top of that.
Embarrassing? Disappointing would be closer to the mark, and personally I think it’s bollocks that we’re unwilling to spend it, but embarrassing, really?

Given that the last injury-prone player we signed has already sustained what might be a bad injury today, perhaps we might be better to exercise caution.

One vote for ‘laughing stock’?

What’s embarrassing is the seeming inability from some fans to understand the financial position we’re in given it’s widely available if you prefer to look it up yourself, or simply read when it’s been explained many times on here.

“We’ll never sign O’Hare, Moore or Burrows” and when we actually get all three, it’s embarrassing that we can’t also just snap our fingers and get the top wanted keeper in our division as well?

Who’re you referring to?

Three seasons out of the last five in the Prem, cleared the decks on wages, gee over pal. If it's that bad then we are the worst run club in history.

Shackleton went off injured today, obviously no real word on the severity yet but Wilder has said it "looks bad".

He isn’t really injury-prone though is he. In his career he’s missed about half a seasons worth of games. And today was a contact injury, could’ve happened to anyone, and completely irrelevant to any injuries that may have happened before.

If we’re going to ‘exercise caution’ over every player that’s ever suffered an injury we’d probably never sign another player again. We’d certainly never have signed Callum O’Hare, for example.

I dunno, Leeds fans seemed to think he was injury-prone:

I'm also not sure that being susceptible to injuries only applies to non-contact injuries, either.

At any rate I would like the club to do their due diligence if Cooper is their number one goalkeeper target.

We've spent more on fees this summer than we did in two years in the championship last time around and that's without a Ramsdale sale or two years of premier league money and 3 years of parachute payments coming. Makes me think the takeover is progressing more than anything else tbh!

Some Leeds fans. In reality his injury record says differently. Regardless of what a few Leeds fans choose to say.

All players are ‘prone’ to contact injuries. They could happen to anyone at any time.

What’s your own understanding of his injury record? Seeing as you brought it up.

Why wouldn’t the club do due diligence. What a ridiculous point to make.

Your ignorance is making you look stupid.
You might want to do something about that, or maybe not but that’s really up to you.
I think your comment could be applied the self same way. There's a few people share this view, and that doesn't make us stupid, far from it.
